Just had an evening meal, booked by phone and set our time for 8pm.The wife wasn't feeling too well so just had a soup which she said was lovely.As I was feeling OK I had a starter then the lasagne, and I have to admit it was probably the best I have ever had, and as this is my go to meal when I can get it. Staff were very pleasant and helpful especially as my wife has an allergy to wood smoke and there was a lovely fire on a chilly night to welcome guests. So 100% this is our No1 destination on our next visit. Dog friendly and a relaxed atmosphere.Food & drinks: Good selection of ales and the usually drinks, food we had 10 out of 10

Had two evening meals here while we were away for a few days with my husband d and our dog. Good variety of food really nice and all home cooked and plentiful. The staff are lovely and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

A fantastic classic Britsh pub in the heart of Windemere. Great atmosphere, amazing service, lots of lovely patrons with dogs, local ales on tap, and the food, particually the pate, was something to remember! I will return.
