Had a tasty tosted baguette with bacon chicken and cheese served with a generous salad for £7.45. The service was quick and the staff friendly and efficient. Would recommend for a quick and reasonably priced meal.

My wife & I have tried most other 'fancy' breakfast eateries in Bowness. Now, we only ever breakfast at the Alpine (monthly, for several years, tripping up from Morecambe). Best breakfast. Staff are lovely. They happily mix & match the breakfast items to suit you. Free top ups on filter coffees offered which is very generous. It's a very popular cafe.

This is one of those simple cafes that knows what it?s doing. They serve hot, fresh food at extremely reasonable prices. Just over £20 for two hot chicken bacon and cheese baguettes with salad and chips, and two lovely lattes to go with it. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive also. Highly recommend.

Fabulous lunch today for two of us. Quiche and Chips plus jacket potato and beans, two drinks, only £23 and in the centre if a tourist hot-spot. Excellent value for money, cheerfully and speedily served. Did exactly what we wanted - a nice fresh and tasty meal...no frills and just lovely. Highly recommend. Thank you.

George a very charismatic entertaining very caring manager with his much older sidekick David make a wonderful experience for their clients.
George would lighten up any situation. He has a unique ability to make every single person most welcome.
His humour and warmth are very special....he will take care to welcome even the smallest child perhaps asking what her dolly would like to eat.
We took our friend Rachel....she was utterly charmed and could talk of nothing else but her amazing experience with George. He brought fabulous food beautifully presented to us .An outstanding experience l can recommend to everyone. Thanks David Mike and Rachel x

It doesn't look the most inviting place from the front, but I can't recommend this place enough! We visited here for breakfast twice during our weekend stay in Bowness. Great service, no-frills food, friendly, warm and cosy atmosphere. Fab place - would absolutely recommend.

Went here today for lunch with my Dad. Great location in the heart of Bowness town centre with friendly and professional service and lovely food (I had the scampi and chips). Highly recommended! :)

After squeezing round the sign, dog bowl and chairs I finally made it to the door :) Popped in for a quick (or not so) breakfast. Bacon sandwich and black coffee £8+ the worst bacon roll I have ever eaten. Coffee from a push button machine. I'd have been better off at Greggs. Chatty server overly talkative which was entertaining. Place is shabby which I wouldn't mind if it were reasonable prices. Lets hope the set meals are better. I'll not be returning.

Me, my partner and our little boy came here for lunch whilst we were on holiday. As we walked in they were so welcoming and friendly. They made a fuss over our little boy and brought a high chair and books for him straight away. This we were so grateful for as it?s so hard to distance a one year old whilst you?re eating.
We both had the specials on the menu the chorizo panini and the chicken and bacon baguette. They were both delicious and had a very good portion for the price. Our little boy had fish fingers chips and beans off the kids menu. This was cooked fresh and went down a bit. This was a big portion for our little boys but was lovely.
The service was very attentive throughout although when we wanted to pay the host had disappeared. We did had to wait some time to pay. This was not too much of a problem at the time. The cafe was very quiet with a very chilled atmosphere but we did come here out of season.
I would definitely come here again in future.

First time in this delightful cafe as the usual one that we go to for breakfast was closed. Very friendly and attentive gentleman out front, warm welcome and extremely efficient. The breakfast was excellent (be aware that tomatoes, hash brown, black pudding etc are extras) and a huge pot of lovely tea to go with it. The lunch menu looked nice and the price of everything including our breakfast was very reasonable. We will definitely be back and yes we recommend ?
