Best independent sports shop I've ever been to. How can I have been going to sports shops for years, and straight away the women knew insoles were needed for high arch, she pulled out a foot pressure mat and confirmed it. She knew exactly the things we needed, big or small budget you can get it all here. Lovely atmosphere, I was in here for quite a while and definitely felt welcome the whole time. Nothing is too much trouble to ask. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Whilst staying at Windermere Marina celebrating my birthday week, we decided to visit this amazing little shop. It was like an Alladins cave full of outdoor gear. Loved it and could have spent all day in here. Got some excellent advice from the gentleman and ended up buying a lovely Merino wool base layer and a pair of Mountain Equipment walking trousers. Love this place! Super friendly and helpful! Came to the Lakes without the right pants for the weather. Stuart outfitted my husband and I perfectly! We wore our new over trousers out the door and were Happy Campers the rest of our stay!

I needed to replace my 30 year old Scarpa boots (a sad occasion) and was worried a new pair just wouldn't be as good. However, I was given lots of information and advice, none of which was in the slightest bit pushy, and eventually settled on a Meindl pair. We ended up buying two pairs as my husband's existing pair were on their way out too. We spent the following week doing some pretty hard, wet walking and had the driest, most comfortable feet ever, every day. I'm now wishing I'd been to Stuart's sooner! I would definitely shop there again as the service was exemplary.

Excellent service today, phoned up and enquired if they had a paramo jacket in stock, only had my size but not my colour, so drove up there and tried jacket for size, they offered me a good deal so i ordered the colour i wanted, i was well happy with the price, brilliant friendly service

The staff couldn't be more helpful. Went today to get a child carry rucksack and the staff had a good choice to pick from. And the store is full off good brands at good prices. And there knowledge off the products tops any store iv visited before
