Exceptional boutique hotel - beautifully decorated and cared for by owners Caroline and Jonathan who are super welcoming and have paid much attention to detail in fitting out the rooms to provide an excellent stay for their guests. Breakfast was lovely and the afternoon tea is absolutely delicious and not to be missed! Cedar Manor is in a great location, only a 5-10 minute walk from Windermere station and a pathway alongside it takes you on a walk down to the lakeshore. It's set in beautiful gardens too. Would highly recommend!

Jonathan gave us the warmest welcome and provided us with excellent information about the local area. The rooms are beautifully furnished and no expense is spared, there are delicious breakfast options to choose from, something for everyone. The garden is beautiful. Thank you Jonathan and Caroline for making us feel so welcome.

We had an amazing afternoon tea, the food was freshly made and there was a lovely selection of Sandwiches and desserts, the parsnip soup to start was lovely and I am not a parsnip lover usually. the service was excellent, friendly, helpful and all done with a smile and humour. I would definitely recommend to everyone.

Just returned home from our second visit to this stunning hotel. We stayed in the coach house suite this time for 2 nights and must say it was beautiful, immaculately clean inside and out breakfast was exceptional and plenty full to set you up for the day ahead. The hosts Jonathan and Caroline were fantastic as always. Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable.

We stayed at Cedar Manor last week in the Coach House Suite and had a wonderful time. The rooms and amenities on offer in the suite (or should we say two storey lodge) were very well thought out, comfortable and luxurious. Jonathan and Caroline were very welcoming and attentive. We didn't have time for afternoon tea sadly, but maybe next time as it looked delicious!

Afternoon Tea at Cedar Manor Hotel was a total delight. The settling was both lovely and comfortable. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the tea choices were also wonderful. It was a most enjoyable experience for us and we highly recommend it to everyone.

Staying Here Was a Dream Come True!
I can?t imagine a more charming place to stay in the Lakes District than here. It was beautiful inside and out. Our room was comfortable and our bathroom amazing. The breakfasts were scrumptious.
Caroline and Jonathan, the owners, were delightful! Our experience here was absolutely perfect!

The afternoon tea was spectacular. A wonderful balance of savory and sweet treats, each of which was delightful. Each serving was perfectly sized so you could enjoy all the flavours, but still have some room for subsequent courses, although we still ended up taking a few bits away because we ran out of room at the end!
I brought my parents as a holiday treat and we couldn't have been happier with the experience - dad is already saying he'd like to come back again, and we only just got home!

A wonderful afternoon tea in a lovely location. I say tea as it's more like a mini tasting menu meal. Delicious parsnip soup in a mini teacup to start followed by 2 lovely mini fishcakes with tartare sauce. The final savoury course ends with 4 dainty finger sandwiches. Gorgeous fillings with a twist.eg smoked salmon with lemon butter. After a nice break the cake stand arrives. Wow! Light chocolate mousse,mini rhubarb and custard, lemon meringue, a crunchy choux bun filled with super light patisserie cream and a mini slice of battenburg cake.AND then a plain & fruit scone each with clotted cream and strawberry jam!! I feel full again just writing about it. Needless to say we couldn't manage it all so went home with a lovely box of treats to enjoy later. The liquid refreshments were just as good. We can highly recommend Blue Lady and Lapsang Souchong. Thanks Jonathan for a lovely afternoon. We will return. Hope the egg mayonnaise sandwiches are on the menu!!

Excellent location. Well kept garden adds to the kerb side appeal as you drive in. Received a friendly welcome on arrival. Breakfast has excellent choices and all good quality ingredients. The rooms and bathrooms are warm. The high quality local toiletries were much appreciated. Wonderful view from the room. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.
