Just arrived home from a wonderful 3 night stay at Cedar Manor. We stayed in the Coach House Suite which had a luxurious feel, it was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We had afternoon tea on the Saturday, luckily the weather held off and we managed to sit outside. The afternoon tea was definitely one of the best we have ever had. Jonathan and Caroline were the perfect hosts which made our stay all the more enjoyable.

Best afternoon tea ever. The waitress and Jonathan were lovely. The afternoon tea is divided into 4 courses, pre starter, starter, main (sandwiches), desserts (assorted). Lots of choice of fresh loose tea, blue lady is the best. Tea refills are infinite as well. So so so beautiful and delicious. If you're in the area it's worth a visit. Favourite part was the beautiful cucumber sandwiches, salmon, and the choux pastries with creme patisserie. Absolutely gorgeous. Loved that the bathrooms have hand towels and no dryers, adds a special touch. There's parking on site too. Thanks for the great experience ??

Nice place, great location for train travellers, and friendly staff who didn't remotely seem to mind that we dumped all our laundry on them. Highly recommend the afternoon tea - just don't go in with a full tummy to start with.

We had an afternoon tea at Cedar Manor. Unfortunately for us we did not quite anticipate that afternoon tea offered here is more of a slow type where you first get starter soup, then starter, then sandwitches etc. Meaning it takes some time to enjoy this afternoon tea set whereas we only had an hour... But that is on us and the afternoon tea itself + service was really great. Foods were nicely thought out and I got the best fish & chips (starter) I have ever enjoyed in Britain. Staff were also nice when we had to inform them that we really need to leave and gave us a package to go with foods we didn't manage to finish. So all in all, just reserve some time to enjoy afternoon tea at Cedar Manor, like 1,5 hours minimum, maybe even 2 hours. Definitely worth it, I would say.

Me and my partner Francesca have been here four times now, the first time we stayed over for the night and had afternoon tea, it was that nice we?ve been back on another 3 occasions. The afternoon is delicious from start to finish and the hot scones are gorgeous. Two lovely owners Caroline and Jonathan. We?ve always been served by Jonathan for afternoon tea and the service is exceptional.

I could not have been happier with our stay at Cedar Manor. It far exceeded our expectations. The Afternoon Tea was the BEST I?ve had (and we only recently had Afternoon Tea at Harrods and it surpassed that!). The hotel was in a walkable location, service was fantastic and the hosts were lovely. Highly recommend.Rooms: Large enough with a hidden TV, roomy bathroom and comfortable beds.Walkability: Plenty of local walks straight from the hotel that kept us busy for days.

I recently stayed at Cedar Manor with my partner for 3 nights to attend a wedding in the area. Our expectations were exceeded. The main building is adorable (quintessential British manor house with manicured garden) and the rooms were very homely and clean. The chocolates and prosecco at arrival were an incredible touch. We stayed in the Coniston room and woke up to a gorgeous view and Nespresso in our rooms each morning. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom included nice products and amenities. My partner appreciated the ironing board and iron in the room which worked well for pressing his shirt. We will most certainly be back for a city break. Thank you particularly to Jonathan for his expert recommendations and top service.Walkability: This is a 5-min walk into Windemere high street, excellent location.

Having read all the 5-star reviews, we decided to book a few nights at this property to celebrate our 1st anniversary. Our expectations were exceeded as Caroline and Jonathan made sure that we had everything we needed (and more) to make our stay one of a kind.We also had a delightful afternoon tea, which I highly recommend. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean. We had breakfast every morning and we enjoyed everything they served with no exception. They do pay attention to every detail and accommodate everyone. We will certainly return as this was one of the most relaxing places we stayed at.

An authentic B&B experience in the English countryside. It's a great mix of history, comfort, and hospitality. My wife and I are enjoying every moment. The owners are so nice and friendly. Highly recommended ?

Amazing Afternoon Tea What an incredible afternoon tea we had at Cedar manor for our anniversary treat. The welcome we received was special and the attention to detail with the presentation of the afternoon was really lovely . The little starter was a lovely touch along with the beautiful selection of sandwiches and cakes and pastries. We enjoyed the Prosecco deal and thought it was value for money. Thank you so much? a special memory to savour.

If you have the opportunity to stay in the Coach House, then go for it! It?s a lovely self-contained area away from the main house with a parking spot right outside the front. It is beautifully decorated to a very high end, with an amazing bathroom. You even get the opportunity to have breakfast bought to you in your own dining area upstairs! The hosts Caroline and Johnathan are amazingly helpful and clearly take pride in what they do. You must also try the afternoon tea, which was truly delicious!

We didn?t want to leave and could have happily moved in for good. Jonathan and Caroline make you feel so welcome. They are such a lovely couple. We stayed in the Windermere room which is just gorgeous. The bed and pillows are so comfortable it was like sleeping on a cloud. I eat a gluten free diet and they were exceptional in accommodating this. It?s the little things that are so appreciated like GF biscuits in the room. (And the chocolates ;-)) The breakfasts are plentiful and delicious. I would recommend the Cumbrian grill with GF sausages to the unbelievably good GF pancakes with maple syrup and bacon. The Hotel location is very convenient. A 5 minute walk to Windermere town centre or a stroll down the footpath to the lake, with the number 599 bus stopping just outside to explore further afield if you wanted a break from the car. We had a fantastic stay at Cedar Manor and will be back to stay and explore more of this beautiful part of England.
