Great food, surprisingly cheap for the area. I had the Sourdough wrap of the Day which was beautiful.
Downside: We went on a Sunday at 2.30pm. We were sat immediately in an almost empty cafe and staff were sweeping and mopping around us, putting chairs on tables and turning off the main lights when we had only just been served our lunch. I was panicked as I didn't want to get in the way of closing, but upon researching their opening times online, on the website and even asking staff, the conclusion was that they normally close at 5pm, however the girl working said they're quiet so were just waiting for us to leave before locking up. Talk about a killer of a mood.

Sub-par experience with a 45 min wait for an avocado on toast and a breakfast bagel. Unclean glasses as seen in the photograph. Food is nothing to write home about, although the staff are courteous and accommodating.

Best place for breakfast in Windamere, literally!

I think if you visited on a quiet day you'd have a good experience. The waiter was very pleasant. However, we waited an hour for our breakfast, which was a real shame as we were on a bit of a schedule that day, so didn't have time to kill. Even the coffees took 20 minutes to arrive. The food was good though.

I stopped by this cozy brew room cafe for a quick breakfast and an iced coffee, and I?m so glad I did! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming ? the perfect place to start the day in Windermere. My iced coffee was perfectly brewed: bold, smooth, and refreshing without being too bitter. For breakfast, I had a simple yet satisfying meal that hit all the right spots! ? fresh ingredients, great flavors, and generous portions. The staff were so friendly so whether you?re in for a quick bite or a slow morning with a book, this spot has the kind of charm that makes you want to return witch I did the following day to try there fresh baked cakes and another ice coffee ??Highly recommended!

A Promising Setting Let Down by Poor Service and Substandard Cooking
On first glance, this establishment presents well. The interior is pleasant enough, and the location will no doubt continue to draw steady trade from tourists. Unfortunately, our visit revealed a series of service missteps and kitchen shortcomings that suggest complacency born of guaranteed footfall.
Upon arrival, we were met with a sign instructing guests to wait to be seated. We did so, only to be left standing awkwardly while staff passed by, seemingly unbothered. When one eventually approached, it was not to greet us but to question why we were standing there ? a baffling response to the very protocol their signage requested. It was a minor error that, handled graciously, would have been easily overlooked. Instead, the defensive attitude left a sour first impression.
Table service, it turned out, was non-existent, raising the question of why such a sign was there at all. Matters worsened when our order ? a meaty English breakfast and a pot of tea ? arrived with agonising slowness. Tea, perhaps the simplest order imaginable, appeared after 20 minutes in a half-empty café with no obvious demands on the coffee machine. The breakfast itself took a full hour to arrive.
When it finally did, a promise to fetch cutlery was forgotten as the waitress resumed a casual chat with a colleague. We retrieved our own.
As for the food, it was, regrettably, no redemption. The bacon had been cooked to the texture of jerky, mushrooms rendered almost unrecognisable by what seemed to be deep frying, and the fried egg was scorched. The overall impression was of a kitchen either indifferent to quality or lacking the basic techniques expected of even modest cafés.
It?s a particular shame because this venue, frequented by visitors unfamiliar with the area, will likely remain busy enough to excuse these persistent issues. As regular visitors to the area ourselves, we won?t be returning ? not until evidence of genuine care replaces the current air of indifference.

Be prepared to wait ? A Long Time?
Front of house staff lovely, inside looks nice BUT 50 minutes for eggs on toast and a breakfast is so bad, parking in the area is 1 hour. Typical under investment in kitchen and delivery of food and too many seats the kitchen cant serve.
Appreciate the reply but if you are 50% down in critical kichen staff, close off 50% of seating. Its better to give 15 people top service and food within 20 minutes rather than 30 people poor service in 50 minutes. Your turnover takes a hit but your integrity is protected. Reputation is king. Contingency planning is always a priorty for a eatery or reduce covers.

Went there for breakfast
Fresh and tasty friendly staff no long waiting as it wasn?t busy at the time.
Better service than the ones around the corner where must wait for hours to be seated
