Chips were decent enough, batter on haddock was apparently nice. The real letdown was the pie and the customer service. Felt like it was being ran by kids. I ordered a pie, about 4 mins later I heard screeching laughter from the back, and two of the young servers came rushing out with the pie upside down on a piece of grease paper. They were laughing about how they were handling the food and keeping it upside down. They then shot it in the heater, before putting in the box still upside down and putting the chips in. As predicted when I eventually opened the box to eat it a lot of the contents of the pie had spilled out of it and had leaked.
I found the whole exchange very immature and if I?m being honest a tad disrespectful. They were laughing about it so they must?ve knew it was wrong thing to do, and they knew I could hear and see them?.
Pie was just microwaved and quite stale. And the contents leaking out of it didn?t help with the taste.

Great place to get some fish and chips. We sat outside. The chips were delicious. Great piece of fish. Nice vinegar. Friendly staff. Next to car park and close to harbour. Recommended if in the vicinity.

We ordered home made meat and potato pie and chips and fish and chips and 2 rolls. It was the wrong pie, said to the girl but she never offered to change it. We got back to the car the fish and chips were absolutely swimming in grease couldn't eat the batter at all only had about half a dozen chips. My partner's chips were the same the pie was cremated and rock hard, couldn't even get the fork in it hardly any filling in it and what there was was hard and tasted awful. The rolls were dry and hardly any margarine on them. Definitely not worth £20+ won't be going back.

Loved this place when it was Crosbys, then Frasers took it over the food was still really good. Came here for a takeaway whilst visiting the area and sadly disappointed with it now. The cheese rissole was like a brick and the chips so mushy you couldn't pick them up with a fork ?. The battered sausage was lovely. On the flip side the staff are lovely.

The finest chip shop in the whole of Cumbria, what you get is value for your money as the prices are reasonable and the portion size is emmence.

Eight of us had tea here. The service was friendly and quick, and everyone really enjoyed the food. I especially liked the curry sauce, it was perfect chip shop sauce.
