We popped in, inspired by the daily scone, and we were not disappointed. The staff are amazing, doing their best to make sure that you enjoy your meal and greeting you with a smile. My partner and I dropped in after a long day of walking. We chose a table & gave the table number on ordering at the counter.2 lattes (only one size optional) I had coffee & walnut cake and my partner had carrot cake.The staff were warm & inviting. Cafe was clean and cosy. Toilet available on the ground floor.The walnut cake was one of the tastiest I have had in a while. Generous size & hot coffee (could actually taste the coffee which was very nice indeed. My partner demolished his carrot cake.Highly recommend ?

A definite visit for anyone wanting a friendly service, great food and value for money.. we couldn?t finish it all. As we were visiting from the South of England this was a lovely start to our holiday. Well fed, ready for our walk.

This is your traditional old-style cafe providing very good value for money with generous portions. Very popular with locals, which is always a good recommendation. Staff was friendly and helpful. Much better than your usual over-priced coffee shop.

We went into this unassuming cafe, then found out there was nothing unassuming about it, my husband is in a wheelchair and the staff could not have been more helpful, We only went in for a coffee and ended up having a cooked breakfast, I have to say I don't like hash browns but I thought I would try one, it was lovely, our tea came with our food the toast came buttered, so many places put it on the side with a pat of cold butter. This cafe employs young people with disabilities, they are treated with respect and worked very hard. I hope anyone visiting whitehaven goes in and experiences this small but fantastic place, unfortunately we were only there for the day or would have gone back, they even had disabled access to the toilet. Certainly a wee hidden gem.

Visited whitehaven today on our coast walk with my German Shepherd dog, we were made to feel very welcome, lovely people, couldn't fault the service we received (even brought a bowl of water for my dog). Highly recommend visiting here, 5 star service

Super friendly staff absolutely love that they employ special needs/ learning difficulties folk.. well done to you guys? and a banging breakfast..recommend ?Did I mention the breakfast is bangin ?
