A fabulous cafe... And very welcome after a lovely walk around buttermere... The shortbread is the best in the world!! The place is very clean and good service even when very busy...

Extra busy during bank holiday weekend. Seemed a bit understaffed. They couldn't keep up with cleaning the tables. The queue was long but staff was moving fast. Great coffee. Nice seating areas.

One star for atmosphere as the cafe was being renovated and it was basically eat your food and go unless you were sitting outside. This is a walkers/hikers stop off point and is very busy The cakes we purchased were very nice as were our milkshakes. The service was excellent.
