Popped to this park to walk my dog whilst visiting the Lakes for a few days. A simple but pleasant green space. Nice that there are designated areas for dogs off leads / children, so everyone is catered for. Also loved the wild flower section.

Ford Park provides a beautiful, 8 acre walled community green space at the heart of Ulverston. In our large Grade II, Victorian walled area, we provide popular playing fields that are used for many local festivals and events, a new inclusive playground area, a kitchen garden, greenhouses, a plant nursery, community meeting space and a volunteer centre. We also have a restaurant on the premises to help the community enjoy our Park.
The park is managed by the Ford Park Community Group, a local charity set up to ensure Ford Park remains a beautiful, green space and community asset for the Ulverston community.
We rely on funding, grants and donations from members of the public to maintain and develop this beautiful park.
