Was staying in their cute little AirBnB cottage next door for the night. Decided to go for some food. Ordered starter and main and was so much delicious food! In hindsight for two people could have shared either a starter or a dessert as such generous portions sizes. I took some back with me as couldn't eat it all. The complimentary bread and coleslaw with the starter was lovely. The barmaid was very friendly and chatty.

Lovely country pub. Booking essential as busy for Sunday lunch. Scrummy beef roast dinner with loads of meat & lots of fab roast potatoes. Brought enough home for another meal x ?

3 of us motoring South on the old A6, stopped on spec and were not disappointed. Although too late for Sunday lunch, we received a warm welcome & then the hardest job was deciding which of the many tempting dishes on the regular menu to choose. The star was definitely the Double Cheeseburger.

GPS malfunctioned and brought us to this lovely place. The customer service was spot on. Noshing, hiking, biking, or visiting the castle, you are sure to enjoy the tranquil countryside.

We visited the Lowther Castle Inn for Sunday lunch......not for the first time, because we know it never disappoints. The portions are large, well cooked, and piping hot. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the meals were excellent value for money. We will definitely be calling in again.

We went to the Lowther Castle Inn for a New Years Eve meal with our family and dog. The service and food were excellent. All the food was so tasty and piping hot. We chose the lamb, fillet steak, pasta bake and scampi, all were of an excellent standard. Thanks so much for looking after us, I would definitely recommend ?
