We?d checked out on the website and it had said dogs welcome. We walked over a mile to get there with our young children. We walked in, feeling intimidated by most of the bar staring at us and after negotiating the tightly packed tables on our way to the bar we heard a man shouting ?Oi" at us, "No dogs in here" he then blurted. We then left, walked the mile back as we couldn?t bear to go back in.

Stayed in caravan for 4 nights,Van was clean and warm heating had been turned on prior to arrival.Large fridge freezer and cooker.Oven did'nt heat up very well but microwave was fine. There was only 2 of us but 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.Nearest big shop Lidl in Maryport.Pub was good no food at present as too early in the season. Our only gripe was the weather was very wet and windy. Not that you can do anything about that. The parking at the side of caravan was not hard standing and was like a swamp outside caravan felt like the car could get bogged in.Was very quiet and views across the fields was lovely when it stopped rainning.Would definately stay again.

We rented privately on the park and it seems park don't care about dangerous electricity supply or gas supply. Reported to site and were fobbed off, must take injury or death for park to step in. We also had pans on floor due to water leak and water running onto lights in ceiling. What does it take for site to stop private cowboys ? renting dangerous caravans out.lady on site was aware of all issues from when we arrived. Starting with electricity and gas and leaking ceiling running water into lights. Mark seatle was name of owner I think. Avoid if you're looking for rental caravan.

Lovely caravan park. Nicely laid out with all the facilities you need. Caravan was spotlessly clean with all the basic necessities provided. Site staff very friendly and helpful. Ideal location for visiting all the Lake District has to offer and the local beaches are stunning, especially Mawbray Banks. Unfortunately didn't take advantage of the bar/restaurant as dogs are no longer allowed inside (fully understand the reasoning) but didn't want to risk leaving a very active and fun loving English Bull Terrier alone in the caravan! lol. Fully recommend this site having had a truly relaxing week away from the hustle and bustle of town life!

Quite park and warm and comfy caravan. Friendly and welcoming staff.. Close to the beach and lovely big areas of sand for all! No food shops in Allonby though. Restaurant not open as park not busy in early June when we stayed,, but decorated in the Spanish style and looks very good. Lovely boat trip from Ambleside to Bowness and both pretty villages too!

I actually went here a while ago for food with my family. Pleasantly surprised, they have a lovely well kept caravan site, the pub was a nice, clean, family atmosphere. Food was good, prices were reasonable. I viited again recently just for coffee and the place is just as nice as I remember it.

Brilliant site quite and really well cared for, staff really helpful they couldn't do enough for you. Great pub on site and meals really nice especially for a group of friends who arrived on bikes so had no food at all with them,it was great to know you could get a good value for money meal at the end of the day. Caravan was spotless and well looked after. Can't fault this site at all will definitely be back.

The bar was very cosy with a real log fire, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. There was restricted food as its winter, however we could order food from a local takeaway and eat it in the bar. Well worth a visit.
