Worst ever oat milk lattes I?ve ever tasted! This place is over rated and over priced.
Disappointed every time I?ve stopped there.

Tebay was always our stop on any journey north for breakfast and likewise coming home for lunch. Our most recent visit was extremely disappointing. The services were very rundown, grubby and untidy. On arrival for breakfast we found that dogs were no longer allowed beyond the foyer areas. This year we were towing a caravan and found the parking for car and caravan inadequate certainly southbound which was on waste land by the side of piles of rubble. In the past I have also shopped in the farm shop but as we will no longer be stopping you have lost custom there too.

Queued from 10.30am to be told at 11 when we got to counter breakfast was finished. They did cobble together a breakfast but limited content and they refused to cook anymore
Manager apologised but did nothing. Server was overworked and tried her best to help. They cannot cope with queues and need to handle changeover more efficiently. After queuing for half an hour you expect the breakfast on offer

Stop here regularly . Always immaculate . Good home cooked fresh food . Breakfasts particularly good . Kids meals £1 with adult eating . And a great farm shop too

It wasn't busy and there were plenty of staff but my breakfast was still cold by the time they made my drink, not just not warm, actually cold. Presume it was already cold by the time they put it on a cold plate. Deeply unsatisfying. This isn't the first time either. What a shame, I used to love Tebay

Fantastic spot to drop into for a recharge.
Kyra sorted us out with some great coffees! All the staff were very nice and welcoming.

Generally a nice place to stop, but overpriced for what you get. Full at the front and empty at the back £4.00 for this tuna and sweetcorn sandwich. The sweetcorn is extremely thin on the ground.

Stopped off at southbound services today. Really disappointed that despite having dog friendly signs everywhere and online and a section of the dining area for dogs, we were not allowed to take our dog in today. Some work being done at the front entrance means you have to come in through the shop, and they won?t allow dogs at all, no exceptions, not even if you carry your dog straight through to the dog friendly section. The rude worker seemed ready for an argument as if about a hundred people had already asked, I wonder why? temporarily not dog friendly!

Without doubt the worst breakfast ever, I am gluten free so requested the optional gf toast, scrambled egg and bacon which was on the plate before toast went in which was stone cold by the time the young man sat on the counter watching the bread toast, my wife had 2 sausages, 2 bacon and cheap beans all cold, we both had what they described as tea £23, food terrible, service terrible, poor choice, used to be top class give it a wide berth
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free toast was the only hot thing on the plate

The good: chai latte was freshly prepared and was lovely but costly.
The bad: poor service - our server at the quick kitchen was well presented but her attitude stank. She gave the impression that she was above serving drinks too the general public and was vocally more worried about a daddy long legs than customers. She didn't know if they served bacon and sausage baps ( it was on the menu) and was borderline rude.
Over priced food - our bacon and sausage baps were very expensive (£7.25 for a bit of bacon and one and a half chipolatas) on a standard white roll.
Naff coffee - coffee tasted burnt and was expensive.
Toilets were ok. Lighting was dim in the men's but the women's was spotless.
Overall I don't expect much from a Welcome break or road chef, but I was hoping for more from Tebay Kitchen - we were most disappointed by the quality of the service. We won't bother again. Might as well use a welcome break and get food from the M&S

Poor show today, tebay usually my go to, but i might reconsider.
Arrived at 2 asked for sausage and mash with the onion marmalade, oh sorry no mash, serves chips instead, asked about the marmalade procedes to enter kitchen get the jar out then get me a spoon to self serve, i then pay and thiers no forks, asked staff for cutlery after standing for 3 minutes with a hungry two year old, i ask two more staff still waiting, i find a seat, go back to find they've added some wooden cutlery, i then attempt to cut the sausage with the knife, but the sausage is so tough and the knife so blunt it just squashes the sausage. Just not what i expect pull thr finger out, enough staff standing about doing nothing.
