The menu is fine but the service is dreadful. We were warned it might be a little slow coming. After an hour and no sign of our toasted sandwich we asked how much longer it would be. The lady we asked disappeared and did not come back to us. Waited a further 30 minutes and no update. We asked for a refund which they gave us but no apology. Left hungry!!

Went here for the first time at end of November - the mill itself has some very interesting stalls, worth a visit if you like crafts. The food in the cafe was good. Very busy when we were there but service was good. However the place was really cold!! There is no heating and everyone was sat in their coats. This did detract from the experience and for that reason I won't rush back until the summer! It is nice that it's dog friendly - we did a lovely walk from here.

Carrot and coriander soup extremely watery with a handful of tiny chopped carrot's and no taste of coriander.
More like a broth / dissolved stock cube with bits of floating carrot and left a terrible after taste.
Very dissapointing.
My partners cheese toastie was tasty but the accompanying salad very small.
The cheese scone lacked cheese.
Generous pot of tea and staff friendly.

Really pleasant staff all very helpful. We found the menu difficult to navigate and the menu stated thick cut bread however what we got was thin cut bread similar to hovis. Salad was fresh and good, the cheese bake potato looked really good.

The best place to go to in Sebergh for a quick lunch or breakfast, and in a lovely setting.

Lovely spot by the river, with a good selection of cakes to go with your tea or coffee.

We travelled to the Tea Room at Farfield Mill at the last minute, and without having had lunch before we set off.The menu wasn't extensive, but was more than adequate to suite most needs, and the service was first class! The lady that brought out our meals was friendly and helpful, and obviously enjoyed her work. The adjacent table had a very friendly dog, so it was nice to see that dogs were welcome. Our table was decorated with fresh wild flowers which topped off what was a thoroughly pleasant experience.

Just stopped for cup of tea. Mill was very popular. Tiffin was welcome. Tea for two was a bargain 5 cups in one pot. Didn't stay long enough for 5 stars but it probably would deserve it.

Food tasted lovely but my goodness you don't get much for what you pay - spoiler alert; it isn't cheap. Super small portions. Had a baked potato and tuna mayo - the potato had been nuked in the microwave and was a bit mushy but the tuna was moist and tasty and the homemade (perhaps?) colslaw was lovely but just not nearly enough. Now I complain about the plate size because at 8 pounds I would have expected a good, hearty, whole plated feed.
