This Post Office made my day. All the other reviews are accurate, the shop is a total mess but the owner wasn't unfriendly, he was just "there". I'm sure he knew amid the chaos exactly where everything was. It should be posted as a tourist attraction, particularly in November when everything else was closed

Other reviews are not necessarily inaccurate but everyone visiting Ravenglass should experience this post office. Probably unique in this country. And it had what we wanted.

I walked into this post office not knowing if it was open or not, it was so disheveled inside I thought it may be derelict and the left the door open. Elderly man behind the counter asked me what I wanted, er just looking I bleated. There were a few dusty old cans of stuff, what appeared to be half read old papers everywhere. I asked for paretomol, I felt a migraine coming on just being there. The man behind the counter had boxes of the stuff, perhaps others suffer the same fate regularly.
