Lovely setting with views across to Skiddaw. Scones were best I've had in decades! Slate floor while attractive makes for noisy background.

Yet again today at Lingholm felt unorganised queueing to be seated fair enough on sunny warm day however 2 people seated on 6-8 people tables. Need a few smaller tables lingholm also garden area closed ? not sure why thats where we wanted to sit with our 2 disabled parents. We ended up with scones to go they are beautiful like the rest of the food if you can get a seat.Parking: Get a ticket £5 show it when paying for food and they deduct £4 from bill.

Nice place. We paid £10 for the car park for the day so we could go walking after. That ticket gave us £4 off the price at the cafe. Slightly chaotic service and a long wait for food. But once it arrived it was lovely. I?d visit again because I think we arrived at peak chaos and it was much quieter when we were leaving.Parking: £10 for the day (until 7pm when the car park shuts)

This is a lovely place, came back for a 2nd visit as everyone in the group wanted to. The coffee was good. Wasn't so fussed for the decaf tea was a little poor compared to other places I have it.Breakfast sandwich was average but would go again to try other stuff. The staff were friendly and kept checking on us.

This was our first visit and it will be a regular stop every time we come to the lakes from now on. The view from any table looks out onto the garden with Barrow Fell in the distance, the place is very clean and tidy. All the staff were very helpful, and didn't exaggerate when informing you about how good the food was. The menu is not extensive, but what they serve looks the business. We had the soup, served with a chunk of bread, and shared a portion of chunk chips with garlic mayo. They were all delicious, the chips were well cooked, soft in the middle and crispy on the outside. We shared a cheese then cream scone with jam. Both could win awards in my opinion, but the cream scone won. This was our best meal in our 9 day stay in the area, the prices are just right. £3.10 for a massive cheese scone..... Who can beat that!

Called here whilst out for a walk. A comfortable enough cafe with table service. A good choice of hot and cold food are available - the lunch menu is available 11am to 3pm, breakfast prior to that.Superb homemade cakes are available. We will call here again. Highly recommended.Parking: Chargeable parking is available, £5 for 3 hours, of which £4 can be refunded when you spend in the cafe.Spaces are limited though. There are no marked bays.

Came here for lunch with a friend whilst in keswick for the afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. I have coeliac disease so can be difficult finding nice places to eat. I had the open steak Sandwhich and it was absolutely delicious! Best one yet. Will definitely be returning next time I'm nearby. Cakes are also to die for, they had gluten free brownie and orange and Almond cake which I took home for later. Absolute perfection! And I don't say that often.

Our first visit and we were not disappointed. I had steak open sandwich with fries and my wife had soup of the day and a portion of chunky chips. My steak sandwich was delicious coming with some very tasty salad and skinny fries. The soup was really good and the bread freshly baked. The chunky chips were great and very tasty. 10 out of 10 for the food! The place is dog friendly and we could sit inside or out with out Westie. We chose inside as it was a bit cold and all those with dogs kept them well behaved so there was no drama. The service was really good with friendly and pleasant staff and a nice atmosphere. It was starting to get busy by the time we left (around 12.30pm) and people were sitting outside.Highly recommended. We will definitely be going back.Vegetarian options: Looked to be a good selection
