Good basic accommodation for a brief overnight stop on route to Scotland. Booked late, but £125 is overpriced for this. Convenient for the M6 and A66 at Penrith. Useful to be next to a Greggs for breakfast, although after 9 am nearby Rheged could be a better choice if time allowed.

Room was OK and modern, small car park with even smaller spaces, few facilities requiring a drive into Penrith for the basics.
Expensive, much cheaper options in/around Carlisle.
First impression was a poster reminding guests not to smoke weed, second impression was the smell of weed in the corridor to my room, not a great image!
I?ll look elsewhere next time.

We stayed in the annex, there is ZERO noise insulation between rooms. I can hear everything going on in the others rooms. The bathroom trips from the room above, mobile phone conversations, everything. Not good if you are sensitive to noise and want a good nights sleep.

Nothing close apart from Greggs and Burger King. Black out curtains with a street light out side don?t work light streams in the sides. Booked by work not happy.

One of the better travelodges, recently refurbished rooms with lovely curtains thick enough if you want a lie in, decent carpet and a proper chair to relax in if you need. Heating is efficient, easy to heat room to temp you want and even a bath, not huge, but a bath
Staff are really friendly and helpful too
Then there is the location, just off the M6 and right next door to a Greggs and a Burger King if you needed something at night or a breakfast first thing

Stayed in the 14 roomed annexe behind the main block. First class sound proofing, fast & efficient wall heater, 4 type C charging points, choice of ? or ?. Free cash withdrawals at the adjacent Burger King. PFS at Rheged on the next block west bound - prices considerably cheaper than M6.

The rooms were clean and tidy
All amenities are ideal
Staffs were extra friendly especially Ms.VANDRA was very very kind to us in explaining everything and made us feel very comfortable and took care of us well
The location is right on the highway and ample car parking spaces with Burger King and Greggs nearby
