Good location and quite accessible, child and animal friendly. Menus have very good food with large portions and drink. Friendly staff always polite and cheerful, even after powercuts!
There's also attached a wonderful boutique with beautiful clothing and beauty products. And a Toy shop selling, making and offering refurbishing. Add on a shop selling delicious treats, useful products and it's a mini village department store with something for everyone.

What a lovely place.
I've often thought about stopping here many times on my motorcycle trips but sadly just rode past.
I was out with a friend on a ride out this time & decided to stop for a Coffee break.
Again, What a lovely place. It's spotlessly clean a great variety of food & some amazing Cakes & Scones.
Plenty of tables inside & out.
We sat out in the sun at the tables & chairs in the garden area.
The Staff were friendly & welcoming on our arrival which always makes a difference & a nice atmosphere.
I will definitely be going back for a Coffee & Cake next time I'm out for a ride ???
I would definitely recommend going there to anyone passing.

Thank you so much to the kind staff who packed up our food and gave us instructions to a vet when we had an emergency with our dog! She?s all fine now but we were very stressed and they helped us all immensely! The food was delicious and we?ll hopefully visit again under less dire circumstances

We arrived with high hopes for this beautifully located café, but were very disappointed to discover a significant issue with the food preparation. This could be easily addressed with the addition of a second fryer. We were informed that all fried items, including those labelled as vegetarian or vegan, are cooked in the same fryer as meat products. As a result, these dishes are not genuinely suitable for vegetarians or vegans. This is both misleading and concerning, particularly for those with ethical or dietary reasons for avoiding meat. We sincerely hope the Village Bakery reconsiders its kitchen practices (or updates its menu to reflect the reality). We'd love to return in the future, once we can be confident that vegetarian and vegan options are truly available

Lovely lunch here, fantastic service, although busy no wait for my drink and food. Had lasagne, very tasty, brilliant salad and fries, a favorite. Highly recommend this cafe. I was passing through and spotted it on maps so thought it was wortha look. Try it, you will not be disappointed, plus very good value, full meal and drink mine was under £15.

Stopped in after a walk as a large group (had reserved in advance). Good coffee and cakes, friendly staff and enjoyed a browse around the shop.

A quick visit for breakfast. All food was tasty and well presented. Coffee was very good. We were surprised that Warburtons bread was used for the toast instead of the bread sold in the shop area. We bought some of the delicious cakes and scones to take home too. Recommended.

Absolutely brilliant. Service and so friendly, food excellent, portion size super, the breads are very moreish especially the fennel loaf, well worth a stopover from our long journey north, next time we will have breakfast
