Actually just in the middle of my stay as only here one night. The service here is very good and the rooms are very comfortable don't know about the food as I've just ordered but the smells im receiving from around me are very nice indeed...overall everything about this lovely place is all positive ?

Have eaten here twice before. Tonight ordered 4 meals as takeaway. Service was exceptional. The food was ready on time, packaged well, and very enjoyable. Can heartily recommended the ?Wathby Whale as a top tier fish and chips experience.

Recently had Sunday Lunch, over priced and adequate at best. Only option was beef. I had lamp shank ( not Sunday lunch option) which was well cooked but no offer of mint sauce, the vegetables were overcooked and tasteless. Service good and friendly atmosphere

Overpriced food! The jumbo sized fish had a funny taste, like it had been washed in some sort of chemical. £9 for 2 lime and sodas. The service was adequate.

Only 5 mins walk from the train station. Beautifully clean & friendly pub with great food. Perfect lunch stop on the Settle to Carlisle route.

Stayed in the local area and found this gem of an inn, with warm and friendly staff. We ate 3 times as the food was fabulous, you have to try the parmasan and truffle fries!! Don't forget to try the shortbread lovely. Special thanks to Sandra for making us very welcome during our visits.

Called in for food and a drink and the man behind the bar was so dismissive and it felt like we were an inconvenience being there. Won't be calling in again and don't expect to have my message acknowledged and that doesn't just mean a reply.
With reference to your request for further details I did reply saying it was on 17/9/24 between approximately 4-5pm served by a man about late 20s early 30s? With regards to your comments about a sense of humour, ours are probably greater than most but that isn't an excuse for damn right rudeness or a lack of manners

Had the Sunday roast with the local beef...cooked to perfection lovely and rare then, homemade sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel icecream washed down with gorgeous Theakstons beer shandy. The service from the girls was fantastic 10/10.

Fish and chips are AMAZING!
However the steak pie was all pastry and very little filling with hard bits of steak.
Wouldnt order again.
But we will deffo be back.

Popped in for dinner. Good sized portions at a reasonable price. Food was delicious and staff friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend if you?re in the area.
