Tuesday 9th January and it was bitter cold.
A customer who clearly shops here regularly and is known by her first name clearly has some issues...
The lady had Wellington boots and a dress on the staff member helped her with shopping even carrying the basket.
Upstairs they went for paying and all the time the staff member chatted with the lady keeping her calm...
It's very rare today that staff go over and above the role they are paid for but I was taken aback when the check out lady was just as kind...
An issue with the customers card prompted me to descrietly hand over £20...
I guess we never know when we might need a helping hand...

Called in this morning, to your Middlegate branch I was served by a very helpful, friendly and efficient young lady called Harriet. Having worked in retail myself, I can recognise excellent customer service, when I see it. Well done.
