Stayed at Salt Petre Cottage with partner and 2 chihuahuas. The cottage was outstanding. Very large 2 bedroom, with hot tub and garden. Was immaculate throughout and had everything you could need, home from home. Site was very clean and quiet and you felt like you were in the middle of the woods. Stunning surroundings with rabbits, deer, numerous types of birds. Had the best week ever. We will definitely be going back. The one small downside was the bed was a little hard for us but everyone has their own preference

We have just returned back from our stay at Black Beck holiday park and what an amazing stay we had! We stopped in the Saltpetre cottage and were wowed from the size of the cottage, the cleanliness as well as a private hot tub with a great view of the cows! We travelled with our 4 year old and he absolutely loved our stay. The cottage also has a little garden at the front with a bbq. There is a lovely duck pond, children?s park and a small gym and sauna. Truly stunning surroundings with some nice pubs nearby offering delicious food - recommend Rusland Pool, great food and fantastic play area for children. We went to a nearby zoo and fed the giraffes for an extra £5. There is also a steam railway 2 minutes down the road where you can take a boat to Bo?ness. Nearby town is Ulverston. Lovely little town and recommend the pies at The Mill!

The whole site is immaculate & clean. The reception staff wee very welcoming & friendly. We stayed in a gold caravan which was spotless. Beds were comfy & bed linen & towels provided were high standard & very clean. The site is set in woodlands with beuatiful walks around the park. Lots of wildlife to spot, the rabbits were everywhere at dusk & in the morning. We even spotted a deer wandering around the caravan next to us. We loved our stay & will definitely be going back in the not to distant future

The site itself is lovely and peaceful with exceptionally clean accomodation. The location is within short distance of Lake Windermere and all the attractions The staff at the reception/shop were particularly friendly and informative. The only negative was having to make up the beds on arrival (Gold accomodation).

Lovely relaxing park, lots of walks on the doorstep and a few pubs within walking distance (albeit only one within 15 minute walk). Reception staff very friendly and helpful - advised us on local walks and gave maps. We?ll stocked shop with lots of local produce and essentials. Will definitely return.

Loved this time in the cottage. It has everything you need home from home, beautiful walks on the doorstep, or venture out to the surrounding areas. Plenty of outdoor seating secure garden lots of space loved the hot tub was a welcome relax after a good days walking.

Stayed in motorhome. Scenery is excellent there is a pub near by about 40 min walk away.Would stay again there.small play ground for kids.

Just back from a stay at Black Beck Holiday Park Partington Holidays. Totally relaxing and wonderful environment. Staff very friendly. We stayed in a 3 bedtimes lodge?. Crooked Oak 10. Spotlessly clean and fantastic attention to detail? Great location s a base to tour the Lakes.. 5 stars ??????????

We stayed for a 4 night midweek break in the watchman's cottage this year. It was AMAZING. Everything you could possible need was on in the cottage pool towels for using withe the hot tub loads of space for a whole family and 2 dogs, and absolutly spotless. The staff are always eger to help and are knowledgeable about places to eat and visit. We will definitely be booking for next year. Many thanks to all the staff and grounds keepers.

Another amazing stay! My husband has been going since was a small child & I have now been 4 times. The site is clean, good facilities and great range of accommodation. The staff are great and can?t do enough to help! Thank you again for another fab stay!

This caravan site has some good facilities, however, we saw some rats on site, the bins were overflowing with rubbish, dog poo etc which attracted flies etc there was also a lot of noise which was very annoying as we wanted a quiet Lakeland Break. I will not be recommending this site to my family and friends and will post my views on all my social media pages. The entrance road is also very dangerous. Management/owners seemed un concerned by my concerns! which was very disappointing. Not sure if this site is worth the money paid, I am sure that there are better, cleaner and quieter sites in the Lake District where the management/owners care about their customers

This is a perfect place for a family stay. It is so peaceful and has everything you need - a park, shop, very little traffic. The site is extremely close to fun things to do including Haverthwaite, Ulverston and Fell Foot. We have stayed in both the caravans and now the cottage and I would do both again! Each accommodation has everything you need.
