What a pub ( didn't stay in rooms) it serves its own beer from its microbrewery so far 3 down all excellent. Going to eat in a few days.

Newly reopened, some work to tidy up outdoor space still needed but what a super friendly pub with good beer and good food. Yummy evening meal and Sunday roast too

Beautiful scenic route! Staff, Driver and Gaurds were so helpful esp when we had an unexpected visitor a little bee on the journey.

Stayed here with my son and grandson when we climbed Scafell Pike. Very comfortable room, lovely thick white towels provided and the bedding was really good quality. Food was really good, we really enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely avoid this pub at all costs the manager is absolutely vile. We were in here with our dogs which as it states outside is dog friendly but is absolutely not. We were in here Friday 24th and everything was fine we were spending between £20/£30 per round as a family memorial to our son/friend celebrating his birthday as this was the last place we all were before he tragically lost his life. Everything was going good until completely out of the blue the manager came down and told us to get the dog off the seat bearing in mind that they had been there for a good hour and a half with no issues whatsoever and non of the bar staff who collected glasses had anything to say Infact they were actually commenting on how pleasant they all were. When we ask why he was going on the way he was he told us that we were barred from the pub and then took out his phone and started taking photos of us which was totally unacceptable. He couldn?t give us a reason why he all of a sudden got his knickers in a twist just put his hands on his hips and started prancing around like a fool trying to stare out the only woman/mother of lee out which was absolutely childish behaviour. It?s such a shame as this pub could be a much better place and a great place to enjoy drinking without the likes of that extremely rude person such a shame for the rest of the bar staff

What an amazing Sunday lamb roast!!! One of the best we have ever had! Meet literally falls apart it?s cooked so well. Very pleasant staff as well :) thanks!

The menu options are not extensive but the food was nice. The main issue was the service, as it was poor to the point of being rude as we were mainly ignored.

Lovely place to stay and the food is great too, staff were really helpful and polite, charming young man called Peter let me and my granddaughter sample the brewery's real ales which was great too. Fabulous breakfast !!

Came here for dinner as we were staying in the local area, I felt the staff were quite rude, I over heard one of the staff tutting and asking his head at a customer because they asked what ? Kasu sauce ? was. Our server was quite abrupt with the us, however the food was great and portions were massive.
This place has potential if the staff were a a bit friendly to visitors.

Staff were amazing, so helpful and so so polite, it's along time since I've stayed somewhere with front of house staff as helpful and polite as they were, also the owners Mark and Wesley were so nice and accommodating. We have booked to go back in 2 weeks ???????????Food & drinks: Great price and gorgeous food.
