Popped in as thought place looked nice. Was i wrong really unfriendly place, looked at me like had 3 heads. Very over priced food and drinks. Full of snobs, want a better place to go drive further up road. Never again. Avoid if want to feel unwelcome.

What absolutely unfriendly pub ever been in my life. Walked in with family like walking into a strangers house. Expensive thought was in London. Never ever again. Kids hurt themselves on play area not safe. Shocking place.
The Tavern at Hale is a stylish yet traditional pub serving good quality, freshly prepared food using locally sourced seasonal ingredients. Enjoy a local real ale or glass of fine wine in the friendly bar, in front of a cosy log fire, or out on the terrace. A box of Tavern Toys will keep little ones entertained and well-behaved dogs are also welcome.
The Tavern was extensively renovated and modernised by new owners in summer 2018.
