Nice place with many attractions for kids. Pet friendly.Nearby activities: Great walk within the area to Fairy Steps. Lots inside attractions like pool gaming area snookerFood & drinks: Nice beer garden inside and outside, restaurant good prices.

Pods are getting a bit worse for wear but still manageable to have a great weekend away considering you don't spend much time in them ...parks nice and clean complex but is great and staff are brilliant....the only but I really hate is the shower water is absolutely boiling to the point I couldn't get a shower.....

Noteworthy details: We went for a look around with a view to buying a holiday home - vans too close together,too many families for us & poor landscaping in our opinion.Holgates Parks are much nicer .

The view we had from our camping pod was a hedge with a light in a post. Some of the people were just rude. Some were nice. Not saying that about the staff though. Food and drinks prices are ridiculously expensive. 4.80 for a pint. Spent over 20 quid on 2 sandwiches and a a nacho starter. Nothing to do there. I think it's mainly made for permanent caravan owners. I would not recommend and will not be returning.

Have a static caravan here been here 3 years .has all that you could want close to the m6 and easy access to the lakes carnforth morecambe etc. Has pitches for touring vans as well plus 2 fishing lakes bar restaurant swimming pool split between 2 sites which are a 2 minute drive from each other.

5* Family Holiday ? We were lucky enough to spend a week in Rustic Glamping Pod 1 on the fab Hallmore Site. Considering this is a dog friendly pod (the whole reason we booked), it was absolutely spotless when we arrived, you'd never know a dog had been in it. The pod was much bigger than we thought, very well equipped with everything we needed for a self-catering stay with the added touch of bottle of washing up liquid, wash cloths and sponges and t.roll to get us started. They even had the log burner going ready for us to warm the hot tub before we arrived. The camp is beautiful, quiet and waking up and opening the doors to sunshine and fresh air was lovely. There's a fishery on the park that we had seen some poor reviews for but, we needn't have worried, having caught 7 fish on our afternoon's fishing in the sunshine was brilliant ??. It's a short trip to the fell End site which is equally as lovely, with a nature reserve right over from the turning where we were lucky to see wild deer ?. We made use of the pool every day, which was fab and always warm enough. We had food in the restaurant which was absolutely lovely ... lasagne and profiteroles were the winner ?? huge compliments to the chef. All the staff were lovely, approachable and smiling and nice to see them happy amongst themselves, the manager should be proud of a team that looks like they had good moral and enjoying their job. Big shout out to the lovely cleaning lady - Kelly, she was so friendly and we loved meeting her and having a chat. Also Paul the warden, the big friendly giant - absolute character ?. We had a little issue on one evening when somebody was trying the doors to our pod in the late night and, only 10 minutes after phoning Paul the site warden, he was up driving around checking we were ok and checking the site. Paul made us feel safe and, we believe it was just another resident had possibly tried the wrong pod when returning home as, otherwise the park is so quiet at night and, many friendly long-term residents holiday there. This had no bearing on our holiday as we can't wait to go again! Plenty to do in the surrounding area for all ages and we'd recommend this site to anyone. Already looking at dates for next year ? x

Great place to stay on the edge of the southern lakes.We stayed in a pod, which was a cosy little place. Had a double plug socket, big light, small heater, window & lockable door.We took our own air bed, sleeping bags & cooler box and had everything we needed.Clubhouse had a vast array of beers, ciders & soft drinks. A good food menu was also available & both were reasonably priced.If you want WiFi, it's not cheap. I think it was a tenner a day, but we weren't fussed for it, so did without.Only downside, the toilet & shower block only has 2 showers in ladies & gents which isn't really sufficient for the number of guests staying in pods & tourers but otherwise, we had a great weekend there.Will be returning next time we want to visit the area.

My wife & I have recently bought a static caravan overlooking the green oval / nature area. Since our initial enquiry back in January, Zoe has looked after us every step of the way to hand over. This week has been our first holiday in our new holiday home. We love the pitch & the leisure centre especially the gym. So far it?s been a 5 star experience. Thank you !!

Abit overpriced in the restaurant with not alot of variety or flavour food wise, arcade is just a small corner with not much to do at all, no entertainment is apparently ever on, I thought music, karioki/a quiz or some entertainment atleast would be but apparently not. I booked the lodge 3 nights left after 1. The place itself is a beautiful stay just not alot within the facilities. Showers are not ok for children only 1 hot tap available.

This is by far one of the best caravan site we have stayed on, we stayed in a pod which slept 3 adults and a child very comfortably, the food was out of this world very well presented and great value for money, the staff from us arriving on the Friday to leaving Sunday was amazing also.Definitely will be recommending to all my family and friends. You definitely won?t be disappointed, there is a pool, gym outdoor and indoor play area amazing restaurant and a great bar and a little shop if you need anything.We have booked again for August.Nearby activities: Loads near byWalkability: It?s in the lakes so loads to doFood & drinks: Absolutely out of this world, very professional the presentation was second to none.

Our second time staying in a pod (son and myself) .At fell end allways a great stay nice clean site with HOT!! Showers .take a plug with your for the sink to wash your pots and pans as one is not provided ..Aldi is nearby 10 mins in the car ,.We will be back again next year and once you have you will return im sure?
