Great pub and great bar staff

Went in here for lunch after a long half-day's walking, but found out that they no longer do food. Still, we stopped for a drink and watered the dog while we were at it and I can understand the comments here about the real ale. The pint I had was superb and it was a shame I couldn't use it to wash down a well-earned sandwich. It was quiet too when we were there as we were the only ones in the bar we sat in, but was a lovely place to have a beer.
Highly recommended for a great pint.

Came in on Today for a few Southern Comfort and cokes ?
Wow the staff and locals sooo friendly, I don't go out much usually because I have autism and get anxious with people.
The member of staff on the bar was lovely (sorry I didn't get your name) and she remembered my drink repeatedly even though I'd never been in before ? and sat next to lovely fire ?

Owner is very rude and aggressive when dealing with people with mental health problems and doesn't listen just talks above ya.

Absolutely fantastic little pub great staff, great locals.
It's a proper wee pub with good banter with the customers. Reminds me of how pubs used to be ??

We'd been here previously and where it was superb last time, we were disappointed this time. The food is good for pub grub, but I thought it was overpriced. The atmosphere was the biggest surprise. Granted, it was a Monday evening, but there were only 2 others in there....and they had just about finished their food by the time we got in. Shame.I understand the pub is up for sale so I hope the new team can get it back on track.
