Lack of hot water, takes an age for the hot water to flow. Not the best pressure either in the shower when the hot water does come through.Near the beach though.

Wonderful spot for getting away from it all and the views experienced whilst getting here are exceptional.

Just had a fab 3 day stay here. Site was lovely, showers and toilets very clean. There's a big playground just across from the site entrance so our 3 year old daughter was thrilled. The beach is right on your doorstep. We checked the tide times for the best time for a paddle. There's a little cafe just down from the site too. The nearest pub, Harbour Hotel (5 min walk) only takes cash but there's a cash machine just up the road at the post office. The marina area is great for watersports and there's a lovely walk along the old sea wall past the lighthouse.

Nice site, mostly seasonal pitches by the looks of it but plenty of room for people who tow or have a motorhome/camper. Shame the pools not open but not a deal breaker as it was very warm when we visited. Friendly and helpful staff. 5 minutes walk to the bay/beach and a good playground between the site and the beach. Haverigg and Millom aren't touristy places so nice and quiet but enough amenities. We'd go back.

Butterflowers holiday park is situated in a lovely spot. Literally across the road from the beach. Beach is huge, a mix of sand, pebble, sea grasses and dunes. Great for walking the dog who was in his element. The sea always seems to be miles out. Not suitable for swimming or paddling. Pub and beer garden Fish and chip shop and small Londis store are just a stones throw away. That's about it. The site itself is dated. The touring area seems to mostly be seasonal caravans which were mostly empty. The pitches course grit and hard soil which turned to mud in the rain. They desperately need resurfacing. Not good at all. We enjoyed our 3 day stay but that was probably long enough.

Butterflowers is a lovely campsite, caravans, motorhomes only. Shower block, old but very clean, kitchen area with freezer. Swimming pool on site, too. Beach opposite the site. Everything you need in the village, pubs, shop, chippy, PO.

Very convenient for the estuary/beach which changes a lot each day with the tides and the weatherEffeciently run with good washing facilities. Pool appears to have been closed since 2019? Hence the price per night is quite dear, but, as the weather was good it made the break pleasant and relaxing just being able to walk around and enjoy the views.

Park is very basic. There is not much to do locally. Most places are atleast hours drive away. The loo seats need sorting. Fell of the loo several times. Use of showers is a bit of a pain as there is nowhere to store items. Perhaps install a small bench in with showers to put items. Swimming pool was closed the whole time.
