Outstanding service again this is the second Volvo I have purchased with Lloyds South Lakes was provided with exceptional service from Joel Newman all done electronically with ease and car delvered today. The Volvo App and new infotainment services are excellent really impressed. A happy customer once again.

Agree with recent previous reviews of this Dealership (or Volvo partner as they are now), Booked car for service told no courtesy car, tried to rebook , no answer from service department several times and did not return calls even when they said they would,eventually rebooked online through Volvo and when it was booked in had to ring to remind them it was in for service as it was meant to get it collected. Communications in their service department is a shambles.Didn't even bother valeting or washing it as per Volvo service promise. Been a Volvo Customer for many years , never experienced this when it was PV Dobson. Volvo cars are great, but my experience of this Dealership so far would put you off.Update, contacted them again to arrange collection for valet, told not enough staff available to collect, car ? is also showing low oil level after the service. They obviously aren't bothered about maintaining long term customer relationships !

I cannot praise South Lakes Volvo enough. The moment we were introduced to our salesman Alan we were treated superbly. Between Alan and Andy the whole process of trading in our old XC90 to purchasing our new XC60 was seamless. All our questions were answered professionally and their knowledge of Volvo cars was second to none. That aside, Lloyd South Lakes Volvo were by far the cheapest with the best finance deals within a 50 mile radius along with the best price paid on the trade in of old car.Would definitely recommend Alan and South Lakes Volvo, I will be returning again in the future to purchase my next Volvo car.

What a fantastic car sales team at South Lakes Volvo. Special mention to Alan and Jenn, but most of all Andy Stott who made the purchase of my Volvo EX30 really enjoyable and fun! I was guided through the sales process from start to finish with courtesy and attention to detail despite the challenges of having to navigate the pressure of getting numerous cars ready for delivery simultaneously by early March and the challenges of ongoing building work making site and showroom access difficult. Well done everyone! I?m loving my new EX30 Ultra Single motor extended range in Vapour Grey with Mist interior ??

Should have had my car serviced today by Lakes Volvo.... 1st they ring up yesterday and tell me they have no courtesy car for me.. But i wasnt to worry cos they could send a technician to pick the car up at about 8am... he never showed.... i ring them to find out what was happening at 9am.... someone says they will ring me back in 30 mins and let me know what is going on.... no one bothers ringing back.... i ring at lunchtime to be told they cant do my car today... would next Friday do.... Ive taken the day off work today to sort this.... Thank you Lakes Volvo but I will never deal with you again....UPDATE:Surprise, surprise no one rang me on the day they said they would in the reply to my review. Guess customer service is t that important to them after all....and they certainly dont go above and beyond !!

Absolute shambles. Getting hold of the service department is difficult and they never return a call. Cancel a recall collection but still sent someone to pick up the car even though they were clearly told it wouldn't be there to pick up. Had 3 services booked in, first one despite booking a replacement car told on the day no car available so had to rebook. Rang on a Friday to say car was due in on the Monday but was booked for Tuesday and day of service I had to chase up if they were collecting it or not. Even worse they have recorded mileage as 18000 when odometer states 7094 and just to add insult car not washed or valeted as per Volvo service promise. Never had any of these issues when it was P V Dobson.

Useless sorry but we walked around the forecourt looking for a replacement for our Volvo S80 but not one of the staff in their nice warm showroom came out to see if they could help so we left and will go to Preston tomorrow. I would not have left any stars but you can't get out without doing so. I have no doubt this will not stay public for long but you did ask.

AVOID AVOID AVOID this garage. I have never had such bad service and work done before. Booked my car in 2 weeks in advance to get my exhaust, handbrake fixed and to get a service and MOT. Came in to drop the car off on the Thursday 2nd November, they had no record of my booking and seemed surprised I was dropping it off. They jotted my name down on a piece of paper and said it would probably take a day or two. By Monday I got a quote for over £3,000 which included ball joints, brakes, service, exhaust and MOT. I agreed to the price and said to start work. I rang again over the next few days, kept being told they would call me back but never did. Managed to get hold of them on Wednesday, they said that they needed to order an exhaust in but it would be a short job to fit. They kept my car for two weeks, never ever communicating to me when and what they were doing. I had to call countless times to get any sort of update. Eventually they said come in on the 16th November to come and pick it up. I cycled early in the morning to pick up the car at 8.30am as arranged. Had to wait to for over an hour to get my keys. First they tried to over charge me by £160 which I challenged. We agreed on the original price I got quoted. Got into my car and realised they had broken my ABS. Went back in to ask why it didn?t work. They then told me they would keep it another 5 days to fix it and pick it up on Tuesday. I said that wasn?t good enough and I wanted the money to take it to a decent garage. They then said they could do it that day and drop it off to me in kendal to there credit. I cycled back to kendal with no car. They dropped the car off on time that evening. The next day I went to drive the car, the hand brake was still sticking and hadn?t been fixed. The new exhaust was so badly fitted that it sounds like a ridiculous race car from 4th gear onwards. The vibration from the exhaust is terrible. Having got the car back I noticed a puddle in the drivers seat footwell. Which now fills up every time it rains. There was no puddle in my footwell before taking it to this garage so god knows what they did there. I am now going to have to pay a real garage to get the problems fixed that I have already paid for. Serious incompetence and shoddy work all round. Terrible communication and treatment of a first time customer. I obviously won?t ever use this place again, luckily been recommended a real mechanic now. I noticed while waiting to pick my car up other customers who had been in three times to get the same problem fixed and they were being treated just as badly. Honestly the worst kind of garage, do not use would be my advice. Never got an apology throughout the whole experience or any money back for shoddy work. AVOID THESE CON ARTISTS if you value your money and car. I will be reporting this garage to Volvo as they don?t deserve to have the name above there doors.

Really nice people to deal with. Had an MOT here recently and today collected a new car . Both departments were equally as good, has a nice personal feel which is a rarity today.
