To call this place a Curry House is a stretch. We got Paneer Balti Chilli and it was mild at best and tasted like a supermarket sauce jar. The Pakoras were supermarket oven baked as we're the 2 x sad Samosas.

Just get you're curry's from Tesco, £8 to feed 2 from Tesco £22 from here. sadly no difference. What a shame these restaurants have lost there roots, Indian and Pakistany food used to be fantastic years ago. Now just westernised garbage.

We stayed in the lovely Kirkby Stephen and got a takeaway from the Mango Tree. Delicious food, reasonably priced and good service.

Really had a great evening. Food well presented and very tasty. Lots of choices on the menu. Reasonable prices. Proprietor was aware of food sensitivity and advised on ingredients. Have been once before a few years ago but would definitely return if I was in the area. Could recommend the merlot wine.

Had a lovely meal on a Sunday evening. Good to see a party of young people in celebrating a birthday and several other tables full. I had a mixed starter and a lamb rogan. I?m gluten free and the waiter was concerned that there was a samosa in the starter! I swapped it for an onion bargee so no problem. An excellent meal all round.

Had a takeaway from here and food is very bland and non-descript, even the garlic naan bread didn't taste of garlic.

We ate at the Mango Tree on our one night in Kirkby Stephen on the Coast to Coast walk. One of our group really wanted to switch up dining from the pub meals that we had been eating. Indian food was a terrific change. The menu is extensive but the server was excellent at giving us guidance on selecting the best dishes for our tastes. The portions were generous. The staff even went out of their way to return a very important hat that my husband had left on his chair. Very kind of them.

Staying in Nearby B&B as part of C2C walk. Saturday and very busy luckily I had booked a table . Great service and the, The chicken curry was excellent, If i lived in the area this would be my go to resturant
