Gorgeous bar in a swanky hotel, good selection of bar snacks and great service. Nice village too, and very pleasant outdoor seating area by the beck. Good Guinness. Vegan Sunday roast on the menu so I'll be back!

We spent a wonderful couple of nights at The Black Swan for our anniversary. What an amazing find! We received a warm welcome from Ocean who showed us to our beautiful room with its large ensuite. We loved the quirky decor and lighting, particularly in the dining areas. Then there was the fabulous food at breakfast and dinner. Absolutely exquisite and a real treat! A special mention, again, for Ocean and also Katherine for their friendly attentive service. Thank you so much for a very special stay!

Did a circular walk from here parking just down road near school. Lovely little village, enjoyed a coffee and cake at the Black Swan on return. Friendly staff.

We stayed one night, with our Spaniel. The reception was really warm, the room and en-suite bathroom were fabulously spacious and impeccably appointed (including extra touches for the dog). Supper and breakfast were very good. The walks are stunning and varied. A real gem.

Just wanted to say that Our stay at The Black Swan was absolutely fantastic.
The whole team are a total delight , so very very welcoming.
The restaurant is superb absolutely first class , oh and the amaretto desert is the nicest pudding I think i have ever had , and I?m not a pudding person either !
Breakfast was delicious with wonderful organic produce and a great selection of options.
We stayed in Room 15 and it was absolutely stunning with an huge bathroom and a log fire for winter nights , oh and it?s and super doggy friendly too !
What a fabulous place The Black Swan is , it?s exceptional, and we can?t wait to come back again

Arrived to a free upgrade into a beautifully spacious en suite bedroom providing everything we needed. We had an afternoon drink in the lovely beer garden followed by a stroll through the village and around a charming village golf course. We enjoyed our evening meal and breakfast the following morning in the delightful dining room. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly. Only problem was we only stayed one night!

Disappointing.. Not the welcome i was expecting from 'pub of the year'... Beautiful building but i left feeling disappointed... Young staff.. Disinterested.. Try the other pub in town for hospitality.

Ravenstonedale is beautiful, the weather was great which helps!
The Black Swan is in a great position, nice rooms, great breakfasts and the car park is a good size too.
In the evening we sat outside to enjoy a drink, and watch the world go slowly by!
Well kept Black Sheep bitter was available was on tap.

We stayed here for one night as a stopover on the Dales High Way. It had a really special atmosphere. The staff were exceptional, friendly and helpful in a very understated way. The room was very comfortable and the whole hotel had a really cosy, laidback vibe. The vegan options on the menu were delicious. The only slight niggle was no blackout lining on the curtains.
