Ordered number 21, special beef dish. Very disappointed. Main reason I ordered was foe the spring onion and peppers and there was 1 half a spring onion and about 2 or 3 slices of peppers that's all.

I just ordered the special crispy beef dish, number 21 on the menu because I love spring onions and peppers and there was literally 1 spring onion in it and barely and peppers and normal onions. really disappointed. I have a picture but can't upload.

Wed had a long day riding bikes to Kirkby Stephen. We were very hungry. The fish and chip shop had just closed. The pub had stopped serving 5 minutes before their sign said. Across the square was a sign for a Chinese. Hmmm, I guess it would fill a hole but it's hard to find a good Chinese restaurant. But oh no, they're booked up this evening - dang it. But they'll check with the restaurant - hold tight! They can squeeze us in - yes. From the off, service was was cheery, no nonsense, with a smile. Drinks and food ordered in a nice atmosphere. Then the food. Remember, it's hard to find a decent Chinese restaurant... But here one is. Starters of chicken wings and spring rolls beautifully hit, fresh and crispy with actual flavour as described, not generic and indistinguishable.
Mains - Szechuan Beef and Black Bean beef. Tender soft beef, fresh crispy vegetables and again, flavoursome fresh sauce. Rice - and chips (because bikes).
I would wholeheartedly recommend Century for any Chinese food sceptic or doubter. Really delicious, and great friendly service. Would love to return.

Possibly the worst Chinese I've ever had. Staff were very polite and professional. special chow mein was burnt and meat tasted turned/ rancid. Ribs were OK.

Beautiful little restaurant, great staff and lovely food.
They didn't have what my partner wanted so cooked up something that wasn't on the menu, extremely happy with the service, would definitely recommend, would love to come back again next time we visit the lakes.

Had the miss starter and was delicious, had the garlic honey chicken and salt and pepper chips for the main and was amazing. Will definitely recommend and will be comming back.

Probably the worst chicken I've ever tasted, it's like it's been boiled hours and hours ago then mixed later with other food. Very expensive for what you get (small cartons for takeaway).
I'm very very picky when it comes to meat so really wasn't for me but may well suit someone else.
