We visit every year with Brownies and Guides for our last night of the summer. They handled our preorder for over 40 of us amazingly, all the food we ordered was hot and tasty. Thank you! ?

Me and my wife called for tea while staying in Kirkby Stephen during our coast to coast walk. Excellent fish and chips, large portions, friendly staff, good choice on the menu 5* would recommend.

I don?t know how a chippy can get chips so wrong! Small take away chips?cold tasted like they had been sat waiting for a week. And they had the cheek to ask £3 for them! Shoddy to even serve them out!! And if the chips are that bad lord knows what the rest of the stuff they serve will be like. I do not recommend.

Decided to have fish and chips to start our few days away for 1/2 term. Very good portions of delicious cod and chips. Fish batter a bit soft. But it was still yummy

So disappointed, we had fish and chips on Monday night which was very nice and had them again tonight 20th September, totally different, my husbands large fish was beautifully cooked, the chips had obviously been lying about since beeing cooked but my small fish was disgraceful, not only very small but the batter uncooked and thick and slopp, it looks like it had been dipped in batter a few times then put in fryer to give the impression of it being a decent size, it went in the bin...the different in colour and texture between my husband fish and mine was a complete contrast, we try always to eat local on holiday but we will be giving this fish and chip shop a miss when we return

Greasy chips that were full of eyes and what appeared to be frost damage which hadn't been cut away just chipped and fried. The portion of chips was for the price skimpy but over half went in the bin. Fish OK but nothing to write home about...Would I return? NO!, Would I recommend ?? NO! -- Awful and not cheap!!
