Just been for cream tea with my mum. Got a friendly welcome and shown into a room that had a log burner and comfy settee ,like a small cosy living room, felt very homely. The cream tea and sandwiches were very nice and plenty of tea . The surrounding area is very scenic,I had a look at the resteraunt menu ,which had plenty of choice for meat eaters, vegetarian and pescaterians. This was our first visit and I will definitely be coming back again . I only live in Lancashire so was an easy drive .

Weekday dinner with my husband. Chef from Sharrow Bay Hotel, and it shows! Excellent salmon mousse with gravad lax, then turkey game and bacon pie with lovely red cabbage, green beans and dauphinois. Decent wine selection. Friendly efficient waiting staff. What?s not to like? We shall return.

We stayed here for two nights in November 2023. From the moment we arrived to leaving we were met with pleasant, helpful staff. The place is spotless, you could not fault it at all. We ate here also in the evening, and again the quality and presentation of the food was 5 star. The breakfast was also excellent. Would we stay again, certainly. We really enjoyed our stay. Visited the pub for a bite to eat whilst on and attentive. The bar area is very clean and tidy and well laid out. Seating is very comfy and well spread out.Food was absolute excellent, I had the pheasant breast and my partner had the moussaka. Reasonably priced for what you receive. Would highly recommend and would visit again.

We came at lunch time.I had.The squid rings. You got plenty and the dip was very nice but I don't think the rings were home crumbed. They were also just on the wrong side of over cooked. A little rubbery. Easily done. No salad with it either so it was a bit boring for the money. The steak pie. At first when it came out I was a little disappointed with the size but by the end I was very full. It was packed with meat. The pastry was lovely and the chips were crispy, just the way I like them. There was also a nice gravy and some veggies. Definitely recommend.Even though we were full, we're pigs so we ordered dessert. The white and dark choc terrine was nice. The mango compliments the richness well.Highly recommend this place.

We had a great two days at ?The Pheasant?. The staff were exemplary and we really enjoyed the food in the restaurant. Our room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. I took off a star because the water pressure was very weak and I struggled to fill a bath or wash my hair. ( There wasn?t a shower.) I expect this isn?t something the hotel can do much about but it was a shame. That said, we have already decided that we would like to return at a future date because it was such a friendly venue.Nearby activities: Ingleton Falls was definitely worth a visit. Not an easy walk but very beautiful.Food & drinks: Excellent food served on plates that were piping hot so that the food remained warm. Everything was delicious.
