Walked in on the off chance. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Had the roast sirloin which was lovely. Maybe a few more roast spuds wouldn't go amiss.

Bone marrow starter was exquisite, great food all round and we were given a complimentary glass of fizz as it was one of our party members birthday.

Amazing food. Great service and value for money given the quality. The panacotta was possibly the nicest dessert I've ever had.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home. Thank you Rachael, and Ben for the margarita! The prawn toast was absolutely delicious - crispy, flavourful, and packed with prawns. The hake was equally impressive, perfectly cooked with an incredible sauce. Oh and I'm more than obsessed with the hoisin broccoli. It's clear they pay attention to every detail - the Head Chef Jacob even came out to check on our meal. If you're looking for a great dining experience, Number Nine is a must visit! Highly recommend!

Had the most beautiful meal here we enjoyed it so much we went back the following day for a Sunday roast, all the staff we encountered were so friendly, professional and knowledgable I?m not the most adventurous eater and the head chef Jacob let me try a little of the meat before I ordered it which was beautiful.

Number for Trading Standards?
Looking for somewhere to have a family meal to celebrate a birthday, we booked Sunday Lunch on the recommendation of our son. The website had shown ?50% off food in January? with *Book Now* beneath it; so we did. At 4:15 pm the restaurant was empty, perhaps a result of the recent tragedy in Kirkby, so offering such discount would make sense.
According to the members of our party who?d visited in the Autumn, starters were much more limited than previous: soup or pâté. These felt like dishes created for an inexperienced kitchen team and what followed sadly only supported this theory.
Most elements of the roast were lukewarm, though the side dishes of cauliflower cheese were piping hot. The vegetarian roast & Duck breast went down well with our group but the beautifully pink beef must have been water-bathed as it lacked any flavour. The Yorkshire puddings were totally cremated, burnt to a crisp which begs the question; why were they even served?
The real insult however, was the dessert. The majority ordered winter fruit crumble; when it came, it was an apology of a crumble. The sawdust-like crumble topping was so badly burnt, it rendered them inedible; we sent them back. Again, how could something so obviously burnt (and not just one but five!) make it on to a customers' table with such negligence from the kitchen & front of house staff.
Finally when I went to pay, the bill showed no sign of 50% discount on food. Almost embarrassed to ask why, I queried this and was told the offer on the website was only active Wednesday to Saturday. I challenged this as no mention was given to this on the website but this only resulted in an awkward interaction with management where no apology was offered, just the assertion that this had been made clear on Facebook & in a sign in the window?.Well silly me for not checking Facebook or the sign in the window for the T?s & C?s.
Regardless of the borderline trading standards issue, an enjoyable evening was still had. It?s a shame however that in a time where Kirby Lonsdale needs support the most that we won?t be choosing to enjoy another evening at Number Nine, sorry.

Up there with one of the best roast dinners I?ve ever paid for- this was something really special! The beef was perfectly cooked, the vegetables were so well seasoned, mashed potatoes (belongs in every roast) and super rich gravy! They are very welcoming and super dog friendly too which is a huge bonus! Can?t recommend Number 9 enough!
