Excellent shop for hiking and wild camping equipment. Bought a couple of Regatta packaway rucksacks for 4.99 and they're still going strong after years of use. Ditto a Highlander Holdall and a gas stove and survival shelters and other things too. The lady who welcomed us to the shop is superb! Absolutely top drawer. She treats everyone like a valued customer regardless of how little or much they spend. Superb ambassador for the Winfield brand!

Staff member followed us down every aisle less than a metre away. Ended up leaving as she made us feel very uncomfortable. Just because someone is younger, doesn't mean they steal. We were wearing walking gear too.. appalling.

Had an excellent experience in there 21/07/23 around 3.30pm. Aaron and another young lad gave excellent advice and help when I was buying a sleeping bag and sleep mats. Good pricing and great choice. Thanks for the help :)

Got sold a faulty hiking pole. Keep being fobbed of with pathetic videos to watch when the pole is clearly faulty. No offer of reimbursement. What an absolute disgrace

Bought a pair of HiTech boots about 14 months ago. A split developed in the leather but HiTech customer service weren't interested and advised me to contact the store where I had purchased them. I did this and Lach, the store manager couldn't have been more helpful. I returned the boots and because a direct replacement wasn't available was offered a credit note, which I was more than happy with. Lach's communication and customer service throughout were excellent so I thoroughly recommend the service from this store

The service here is outstanding. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Whilst waiting outside the store with my dog today, a very kind member of staff offered me a seat while I waited. I called in the shop later to buy a Tilley hat and two members of staff helped me to choose and gave me lots of advice and extra information about my purchase. A first class shopping experience ! LolIt's not really super high-end products but they have a bit of everything mid range I would say.It probably sounds like I have shares in the company or something but genuinely this store just sticks out. As a fellow retailer, they just have managed to get the whole thing spot on.Great work and thank you for your assistance on my many visits

Excellent customer service. We called in for toilet fluid for our camper. The lady that served us was very helpful and friendly. We bought a few items in the sale as a result. My wife said she would take them back to the campsite and come back to meet me as I use walking sticks and struggle walking. The lady said I was very welcome to wait in the shop and got a chair for me. This was service over and above what we expected. Will definitely go back.

Went onto Winfields Keswick today for hiking boots. Had the pleasure to be served by Lach. There was absolutely no pressure to buy, he was extremely well informed, (I am a foot care specialist so could tell he knew his stuff!) Very friendly cannot praise this team member enough.
