We popped in this pub on one of our walks, and had a pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord which was really nice. A lovely big outdoor seating area some of it covered. Seems very nice indoors too.

Absolutely beautiful pub with incredible food and service
Me and my friend were staying a mile walk from the pub and decided to come here for evening dinner
First and foremost the service was incredible from trinity and alex. Extremely personable and are clearly good at what they do
Props to the chefs for an absolutey stunning dinner. The food was 10/10 for us both

Really great local: lovely views and a rare pub where modern interior has enhanced rather than binned the character... even more importantly good beers and friendly service. A Keswick gem.

Outstanding in so many ways
We stayed for 5 nights and it was one of those rare places that truly stays with you. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home: warm, professional, and offering impeccable service. The chefs clearly take great pride in their work. We were welcomed with homemade cookies and I even got to try some of their handmade chocolates during dinner.
A beautiful cooked breakfast was included with our stay each morning and it was a real highlight, delicious and thoughtfully prepared.
As a vegetarian, I?m used to limited options but not here. The variety and creativity were impressive. We ate dinner here on three nights because the whole family loved the food, the service, and the atmosphere.
The setting is beautiful, with stunning scenery and the rooms were serviced daily. On our last day I was stuck for how to get home and the manager kindly gave my son and me a lift to the bus station, something I truly appreciated.
Absolutely loved our stay. Fond memories for the whole family. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

We had a wonderful dinner here - imaginative and delicious food, in a peaceful inn away from the bustle of Keswick. Both vegetarian and non-veg options were good. Building has lots of character with terrific views.

Terrible service, I was met with an inexperienced, rude woman. Didn?t bother saying hello, and stood at the bar doing anything but helping? Came here for a nice lunch, left disappointed.

I only stopped by for dinner but I must say that the food is fantastic and I will definitely be trying more of the menu on my next visit.

We came along for lunch after walking for hours. The Sunday lunch was lovely however the adult dinner looked no different to the small. But one was £24 and one was £13. Unsure what it paid the extra Money for

Just back from 3 nights here. Absolutely gorgeous place. View from room fantastic. Only thing I would suggest is a little tub chair in Room 1 for someone like me who can't sit up in bed due to a back problem, but other than that and some fruit on brekky menu....food otherwise absolutely top notch. Staff lovely. We will be back. Xx

Overpriced and underwhelming.
This is how I felt as I left The Swinside Inn after my visit. I have visited this pub for years, and I don't often write reviews, but felt I had to write one following my recent experience where the current set up, menu and pricing since the improvements is very disappointing. The party I was with agreed on the way home and we decided we won't be going back here. This is a shame as the location is fab and I have enjoyed visiting over the years but after a day on the fells the meal was very disappointing!
