So on Friday I called in to the Keswick Shop looking for a new outdoor jacket. I met Andy the sales person who give me a run down of how the Palamo system works. I don't think I have ever met someone with so much knowledge about the product they are selling it was amazing. I was in there a hour just chatting with no pressure to buy and left to think about it. I returned on Saturday and purchased a jacket. We met another sales person (lady with dark hair unfortunately didnt get her name) who advised on size and again couldn't be more helpful.I used the Jacket on Sunday for a short walk up Gowbarrow fell to the summit this didn't really test the jacket but it was comfy and stopped any wind at the summit. I'm looking forward to trying it in tougher conditions. So thanks Andy, your time and knowledge was greatly appreciated. Don't forget 22 Squadon badge 22/7 ?

Visited last summer just to browse. Went upstairs with my wife and daughter. No one else was there. 2mins later a young lady rushes up and commences staring at us in a suspicious manner. I can only assume this is because shoplifting is a problem. I attempt to engage her about some of the products only to receive terse replies and the stare. I give up to go downstairs to pay for some merino socks. I wait there as the person at the till has a 10min conversation with a customer about something or other. I'm too polite to just walk out and at least the chap has the good grace to apologise for the wait. An odd mix of experiences. I think I'll stick with online shopping. Satre had it right - hell is other people.

Been in today and bought a halkon jacket, the guy who served me was ultra knowledgeable and realistic! Offered a discount on the cost in lieu of a freebie which was perfect for me! Fantastic customer service, wouldn't hesitate to recommend ?

I visited in August, hoping to find a breathable waterproof jacket to replace a worn-out Goretex one. I was served by a charming lady who clearly knew the stock inside out. I explained what I expected of a waterproof, she recommended the Velez smock, which I bought and which has served me very well since in some pretty damp conditions. Thank you - I recommend the shop whenever I can.

Bought two jackets from this store and the customer service was fantastic.Ewan who dealt with us was a wealth of knowledge about paramo.Even telling us how many times a year to wash and proof, put your washing machine in a rinse cycle to get rid of washing detergent. Before using tech wash.Would definitely recommend.

Sensational customer service experience! Michelle could not have been more helpful in the Keswick store, and she expertly explained the features/benefits of Páramo, and guided me towards the Alta III jacket. I?m thrilled with it. I cannot rate this place more highly, and I have been buying outdoor gear in the Lake District for 30+ years????

Incredibly condescending and arrogant shop assistant. Paramo is a great product and I have been interested in their latest evolution cuts as they have always previously been good baggy on my frame (I know paramo need room to work but it dosent need to be a wind sock) - I loved the technical smock and when I asked what sallopettes would match the male shop assistant launched into a condescending spiel about how really these were for mountain professionals and climber who really use them! He never once asked what I was wanting and why it and was so arrogant about his options of the product. If he had asked he would have learned im a mountaineering instructor and expedition guide of 20+ years experience (and I also worked in a shop selling prank in my youth) and I was beyond put off by his manner. Lost a customer today because of that attitude.

The staff are very knowledgeable about their product lines and it's difference to mainstream laminated waterproofs. I bought a jacket and changed my mind a few weeks later (labels etc still attached and only worn indoors). There was no quibbling and the exchange was very straightforward. Well done Páramo.

Sat 4th Feb 2023 I entered Paramo Keswick with a view to gaining info on these highly recommended jackets, Donna could not have been more informative or helpful. She explained every part of the jacket, how they worked, made sure I knew exactly what I required and that the fit was comfortable. Showed how to re-pack the hood correctly and countless other things. My Lab was made welcome with some nice treats while I tried the Halcon and Pajero jackets. I felt no pressure and with the loyalty card got 10% off plus 50% off some Nikwax direct wash in. So I am more than happy with my new Pajero and with the great customer service I received.Credit where its dueThanks

Visited the store today to buy a new waterproof jacket (fully prepared to spend a good amount of money, you get what you pay for in my mind) I've never had anything by Paramo before but heard good reviews so I thought I'd give them a go.Entered the store, fairly busy but don't mind browsing trying on the odd jacket before talking to a shop assistant. When the nearest was available (guy around mid 50's I guess) I was just trying to zip a jacket up and was hit with "well that's a bit tight" in a very arrogant tone. Then he decides to lecture me on what I needed without asking me a single question about what I was actually looking for ! All in the same arrogant and patronising tone, I'd like to add I've got 20+ years experience in the mountains/ outdoors and I do know what I'm talking about but just found him very unprofessional. From that first minute or so he'd lost the sale. He even added at the end of his little lecture that they can be a bit arrogant and patronising when telling customers what they need !!!I must of looked pretty annoyed as my wife gave me the " time to leave" look.Sorry guy's I'm sure you are usually bob on but the guy I spoke to today just lost a potentially long term customer. I bought from another store I go to regularly.
