I had not long arrived in Keswick when I realized the rubber cap on the metal tip of my trek pole was finished. I went to several outdoor stores, even the brand store I bought it from. To no avail could I find this 'simple' piece. I have MS and really needed my pole to be in tact and not damage the cobble stone pathways, etc. These 2 gentlemen were so helpful & genuine. Now, there were not any left in stock. However, Ian excused himself for a moment while I talked with Riley. Next thing I know, Ian had returned with a replacement cap for my pole. While this may not seem like a big deal to many. Most store clerks would not go the extra mile to check iver stock or even suggest other places. They really are 2 very solid fellas. I have 3 sons and they love to know that sons from other mothers look out for their mum! Thanks so much Ian & Riley! You were my champions today. Great store, excellent service, knowledgeable people, and super prices. If you're looking for supplies from hiking & more, stop by Millets. Blessings to all who pass thru Keswick.

Found a couple of things I needed at a good price, compared to other stores. Quick friendly service.

I bought some boots from millets in tenby and a few months later they split, I?m touring the uk and I was in Keswick in the lakes, so I took them back to millets in Keswick and the manger sorted me out a refund as I had already bought a new pair from a shop in coniston where I was staying for a few days, excellent service.

Called in yesterday as my little girl, Annabelle, had lost her mittens. Millets were actually the last shop we tried - we had parked up at the opposite end of Keswick.Caysie helped us and she was wonderful - she was the first person who actually spoke with Annabelle directly. It isn?t often that adults talk to kids when you are shopping for them, especially not to 4 years olds. The gloves were perfect and very reasonably priced too.Caysie is a real asset to your store - give her a raise!!! I suspect with a personality as thoughtful as that she will go far in life. Thanks again.

Was really impressed by the people working here. They were more than happy to help me find the right product and solve a problem when I had one.

I spotted a great pair of North Face hiking boots in this Millets store. Typically they were the only pair of boots without a price tag next to them so I asked the disinterested shop assistant how much they were. He thought for a moment and told me they were £125. A bit steep but I tried them on anyway and really liked them. However, due to the lack of attention, eye contact or interest from both shop assistants I decided to cut my losses and get the shoes elsewhere. I went onto the Millets website and what do you know... they were actually £90, not £125! If the assistant had told me the correct price and had seemed remotely interested in his job, Millets would have made £90 quid off me. I bought the same boots elsewhere and wouldn't return to this Millets ever. Great job! Not.

Great store. Staff are very friendly and extremely helpful, particularly impressed with the young lads knowledge around getting the best value deal on what you were buying. Knew a few tricks such as buying a carabiner for 50p would make a decent discount on the price of a buff so you end up buying more but paying a lot less. Always handy to have a carabiner spare. Nice to see staff making the effort to have happy customers. Pointed us in the right direction to find stuff we needed which they?d sold out of so great local knowledge too. Credit to the company.

Absolutely awful service. We walked in and stood at the shoe department which was taped off due to covid. An assistant stood in the area a few feet from us and she did not even look up to greet us. Out loud I said "I wonder if that's the whole range" as they're wasn't much to choose from..waited in silence for some form of response. We were so irritated by the lack of service we walked out. I said "worst service ever" the assistant shouted "are you talking about me". I said "oh you do speak. She actually had the cheek to answer me back saying "well I didn't want to interrupt you"...shocking service. Ended up spending a lot in Cotswold where we had excellent service.

On entry I heard a condescending man on the till telling the group behind me that I shouldn?t have come into the shop and I should have waited as per the capacity instructions. There was no one greeting me so I followed the person in front into the shop as assumed (clearly wrongly) that capacity was not full. He was rude and clearly stressed out. I left.

Great for outdoor gear and staff were very friendly on my visit. They do make an effort to abide by social distancing rules, which I thought was a plus.

Simon and Harry were absolutely excellent, with very attentive customer feedback for both myself and my partners individual requirements in clothing. Both were very knowledgeable with the products and could find items to suit our budget, and with the benefit of having experienced the foreign trek we were about to do, could advise our clothing's suitability. (Much more polite and better customer service than the Blacks store 2 doors up, who have lacked customer service every time we have been in.) Many thanks, R & K.

Very happy with the service at millets - tried to be helpful as possible under the current difficult circumstance
