Paid for a room at a 4 star hotel but we were allocated a room which would have shamed a TravelLodge. Room 19 was situated on the ground-floor between the car-park & the kitchen with a significant amount of road noise, it bore no resemblance to the quality of the rooms shown on their website. Unable to change rooms as hotel was fully booked & we were unable to find alternative accommodation in Keswick at short notice.Glad we only stayed 1 night as we got very little sleep due to location of the room.

A conveniently sited hotel close to the town centre. I specifically booked our rooms here as it stated that parking is available. Indeed it is but the parking area is very small and tight with room for perhaps four cars. We were fortunate to squeeze into a space so all good so far. The rooms we booked were a little tired with dark outdated furniture. However, they were clean enough and the beds very comfortable. I was slightly concerned about the small yale locks on the door. Does not give a feeling of security in any shape or form. We checked the bar out but it was not very inviting. White leatherette easy chairs with little decor of note so we gave it a miss. Breakfast was fine and served promptly. Overall, our stay was ok but we wouldn't rush back. A visit from The Hotel Inspector off the telly would sort this rather jaded looking place out.Rooms: A little outdated with poor security locks.

Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The staff, particularly Dan and Jean made our stay so comfortable. Mum has some mobility issues and they went out of their way to accommodate us. Service was exceptional. Rooms clean and functional. Food and wine lovely. We had breakfast every day which was yummy. They made us a travel pack when we had to leave early on our last day. Great location near everything.Food & drinks: Excellent breakfast options. Dinner was also great. They serve dinner Wed-Sun.

Decent hotel with good breakfast. Good for Cumbria Way as its right on the trail. Unfortunately very limited car park- maybe 3 places very tight. Parking generally around Keswick is a nightmare.Walkability: Right on Cumbria Way trail.

Stayed here for 1 night, if I am honest the hotel is very dated, and the room was very basic and needed alot of TLC but the location was really good for us. The carpark is tiny, only 5 small spaces and a very tight squeeze to get your car in and out. Couldn't fault the breakfast, it was lovely and the 2 ladies were friendly.

Abysmal WiFi and TV.....at £121.50 a night totally unjustifiable, technology was poorly lacking in this hotel, low tech indeed.
