The welcome is warm , the rooms are warm and great to return to after a day either exploring Keswick or the the surrounding fells . Full English breakfast totally hot and super tasty with beautiful selection of fruit salads and yogurt ! As much toast and coffee as you like ! Very well furnished breakfast room and cosy lounge and bar . Located close to Derwent water and a lovely flat walk to the shops and restaurants in Keswick. We just went over the road to the Farners Arms one night the pie and peas were great . Our room was appointed to a very high standard . Very comfortable bed and both shower and bath were excellent. Yea and coffee making with fresh milk provided . Craig and Clare are amazing hosts and help you with their local knowledge of the area . They both clearly take great pride in their bed and breakfast ? it?s a must visit !

What a wonderful find. Craig is the best host, can suggest endless ideas of things to do, and Clare cooks the most fabulous breakfasts. We stayed in room 8, really spacious with a two seater sofa and a comfy chair, as well as comfy beds, a good en-suite bathroom, and a great smart tv. There?s also a lovely dining room and a licensed guest lounge. It?s in a great location with views of the lake, a pub just a few hundred yards down the road, and the bus stop on the corner with a regular service around the Lakes or you can walk into Keswick in about 20 mins along a flat path. And if you get the chance drive to The Sun In in Bassenthwaite for a wonderful pub lunch!

Dalegarth House is an absolute gem. We booked it by chance and we are so glad we did as we had the best time. Craig & Clare are perfect hosts, very welcoming, friendly and full of knowledge of the area. The room was very clean and had everything we needed and more - fresh cake on arrival and gorgeous views too! The breakfast was delicious. We could not have asked for more. Our second stay at Claire and Craig?s lovely B&B and it didn?t disappoint. 5 ??. A twenty minute (flat) walk into Keswick. It?s the little things that Claire and Craig think about: homemade flapjacks waiting in your room on arrival, the massage mat in the bath, the locally sourced thick cut bacon and sausage at breakfast, placing your table near the bird feeder, the weather print outs, the interest Craig takes in getting to know you, I could go on. The cleanliness of the room was immaculate. Super king size bed was extremely comfy. You can?t go wrong here. Any local walk/activities/bars/dining recommendations - ask Craig. Our second stay, it won?t be our last.

Stayed at this hotel Sunday 20th August thru till Wednesday 23rd August, when we got there we were greeted by Claire one of the owners of the guesthouse, and the welcome was lovely showing us where everything was. The next morning we met Craig, Claire's, husband when we went for breakfast and again we felt most welcome, over the 3 days both Craig and Claire were very helpful. I would recommend staying at this guesthouse for anyone going to The Lake District rooms very comfortable and the breakfast was absolutely brilliant. The best guest house experience we have ever had. If I could give 6 stars out of 5 I would. Craig and Claire are fabulous hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. Really great welcome during which Claire explained where everything was and provide a really helpful printout on Latrigg fell, which we raced up (not) whilst in Keswick. Great views of Derwentwater from the summit of this accessible Wainwright. Craig was front of house at breakfast and was a brilliant host. Chatty, helpful and a great sense of humour. The breakfasts were also top notch. Good selection of cereals, toast etc. Claire does a mean poached egg, and a fab porridge!.The room we stayed in was immaculate and really spacious (a double and one single.) Nice sofa in room with a huge TV if you need one. Overall, just can't fault the place. Would stay again without a second.

Super location, attentive hosts and the weather was the icing on the cake! Room (six) was spacious and the large bed very comfortable. The en-suite shower room was excellent with plenty of space to put ?stuff?. Breakfast very good - I recommend the kippers! Best wishes to Clare and Craig.

Fantastic hosts! We got a free upgrade as a person who stayed in the room we booked the day before wanted to rebook, so added bonus . They had fresh cakes and fresh milk . Lovely view! Breakfast had a fantastic selection . Would happily come here again and recommend it to

Weve stayed at this beautiful B&B a few times now, haven't stayed more often because we now have a dog and he normally comes away with us. I can't recommend this B&B enough, absolutely beautiful. Exceptionally clean and tidy, beautiful views over the lake. Also a lovely walk into Keswick. Owners are lovely, very friendly and happy to offer suggestions and help or even just to chat. We will definitely be back again.

Fabulous guest house just on the outskirts of Keswick. Beautiful property set in secluded gardens with views of the lake in front of you. Claire and Chris were excellent husband and wife hosts. There was everything you could want here and if they don't have they will get it for you. They got us skimmed milk and margerine and i'm sure if there was anything else they would have also got it for us. We were in the large room 1 with a big double bed overlooking the lake at the front of the property. Breakfast was fabulous and on the first day as we were hiking very early they put out a small breakfast so at least we had something before we left. We would highly recommend this spotless place you couldn't wish for anything else.

My partner and I went for some weekend activities in Keswick and were very obsessed with our stay. Owners were very friendly and accommodating, face is packed lunches if we couldn't make breakfast and were always ready to help or give advice. Highly recommend.

The perfect home base for your visit to the Lake District! I loved everything about this B&B! The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are spotless! Clare and Craig are a top notch host and hostess and make you feel right at home! They go above and beyond answering questions, and their breakfast is delicious! This is walking distance into Keswick, or to the bus stop, or to a walk around one of the beautiful lakes or footpaths. I would definitely stay here again if I were in the area!
