Small, lots of dodgy looking people, drunkards, and there was a disgusting smell from a man being arrested at the tills while we were paying, worse tesco I've ever been in.

A great shop in Kendal.
Probably one of the best shops in Kendal or even the best. Prices are okay. Food is good. Overall fantastic.

Just nipped in for a sandwich for lunch. Tried using the self checkout till and it was playing up. The woman behind the till was talking down to me in front of a queue of customers and threw me a look. I waited in line and a pleasant you man served me. Perhaps the miserable looking woman should find a job elsewhere. Somewhere that customers don't visit. Like Hull for example.

Excellent little Tesco Express just in the right place. It is in a smaller older shop than normal. It is not as clean as my local one, but the service was very quick.

Rich, from Tesco Express in Kendal is worthy of a mention. After a frustrating morning trying to get a response from Ambleside & Bowness (worse here, phone is off the hook) the phone in Kendal was answered within 4 rings.Not only did he do a stock availability check in his store, he offered to check the other stores just to save me the extra miles.It made all the difference to the cost of a tub of ice cream! Thank you! Well done!!
