The rooms are super comfortable for a great night sleep and the location is central in Kendal. However the staff seemed quite inexperienced and the food (breakfast) was disappointing. Middle of the road hotel, but served us well for what we needed.

Rooms: Clean and comfortable.
Nearby activities: Kendal an historic town.
The beauty of the Lake District
Safety: No problems.
Walkability: 10 minutes easy walk to the railway station. 2 minutes to the bus station and a minute into town.
Food and drinks: The Meal Deal is very good value.
The breakfast buffet and evening menu were both excellent.
Noteworthy details: This was our third stay at the Premier Inn Kendal in the last 6 months and we've really enjoyed each stay and will be back again later in the year.
Every member of staff we have been in contact with or met have been top class.
We would like to mention Beth in the Restaurant at breakfast, and Jade and Meghan in the Restaurant in the evening for their fantastic service, enthusiasm and work ethic. Nothing is too much trouble to these young people. They are a credit to themselves and the business.

Not what I expected. WiFi was only available in the bar area and not at all in the room and the bar area was only available for very limited hours. I'm not the first to write a review complaining about WiFi, but clearly the owners have taken no heed.
Hot water was tepid when we arrived mid afternoon. Asked staff about both wifi and hot water, was told that they would check. Didn't happen.
While the hotel is well-located, the bed comfortable and the room clean the poor facilities and service leave me no choice but to warn potential guests to think again before booking here

Room wasn't serviced, no water no glasses or sugar coffee pods( which I paid extra for), and when I went to the reception they said they would resolve it, ended up going to Tesco for milk and sugar, when I told reception he said he went to the wrong room even though he wrote it down
Rooms: Great room but not when it's on a main room

Usually 5* but unfortunately this time the staff were let down by logistics. Booked a Premier room but there was never any coffee pods or water to go with the extra facilities in this room. Site is still a great location for heading off into the Lakes.

Asked for a quiet room and with a view if possible, in advance, Got given a room in the 280's corridor, which overlooked the busy road and looking at a building site! So received totally the opposite!
Rooms: Wasn't as clean as they should be. Bed was sunken too
Nearby activities: Close to a pretty park and 5 min walk into the town which is full of shops and cafes

Great central location.
Rooms: Comfortable and ideal for us.
Nearby activities: Middle of Kendal, great for getting anywhere in the Lake District.
Safety: Felt secure.
Walkability: Good central location , walking distance for local wetherspoons and McDonald's!
Food and drinks: Didn't eat here but menu looked good.

Nice rooms. Staffing/ management issues. Long queue for check-in. Rooms not ready at 16.00. Receptionist only been in post for 2 weeks, no manager on site. Disappointing stay.

The worst premier inn you'll ever stay in. Staff unhelpful, room wasn't ready, toilet seat broken. Nowhere to park and food shut down early in the bar next door. Go to the Travelodge.
Noteworthy details: No parking at all. Staff very unhelpful.

Excellent location, lovely and clean and quiet. What more can you ask for?
Walkability: Right in the heart of it.
Noteworthy details: If the car park is full there are lots of car parks nearby.

Incredible value for money when I stayed early February 2025. Julie on reception was fantastic. She had time for a chat which was nice ?. My room's heating system wasn't working so an oil filled portable was provided which was fine. The extraction fan wasn't working in the bathroom either. Lifts were out of order when I was there. Large car park. £7 for 24 hours payable on departure.

Staying here just now just as a night stop with my young son. Ideally placed central hotel. Rooms are standard Premier Inn which is absolutely fine.
Will mention the mixed grill at dinner which was amazing value and the steak was cooked to perfection, exactly like I asked.
A special mention for Hazel and Rose in the restaurant. Limited capacity due to refurbishments and they managed to professionally and courteously work through a couple of difficult situations tonight (not with us but I saw it all). All the while keeping the service going with a smile. Great work ladies.

People are nice and the area is quite ok but some of the rooms are very bad , really smelly and mould in bathroom

I?d rather get a Travelodge!
Terrible service- I was made to feel as if I was an inconvenience to the staffs? day
Rooms weren?t as clean as Travelodge, dining tables could do with being cleaned properly and crockery wasn?t clean or dried
All I got extra at Premier Inn was purple lights, won?t be returning to Kendal
Food and drinks: Breakfast wasn?t as good as Travelodge even although it is more expensive
