Heed the warnings of the other one star reviews.
We walk into at 8.55 on a weds (website says 8am), to see a sign stating "cafe closed today", despite staff seeing us wanting to go in. Ah well, went and got croissants.
Came out shortly after 9, and cafe is now open. Annoying but the croissants will be ok tomorrow so let's go for it...
I would highly recommend the self-service till; the staff on till was rude and couldn't hear us... but never took off the headset.
The staff who brought our order out was nice. The food was OK, although the eggs were very well done.

Service was prompt and breakfast was as expected from a Morrisons Cafe. Nothing fancy; good value for money.

Slow service at the counter, 7 tables had people seated 10 tables were full of dirty plates etc. Three tables were clean to sit on. This was at 16. 20.Four staff on, one making drinks the other three, I don't know what. Nice new Costa, The Management needs to get a grip of the staff and teach basic skills. Very disappointed.

Awful gloomy place. No staff plus you are greeted by an electronic service point. Store was busy but the cafe certainly wasn't. I walked out. Good store. Good staff. Abysmal cafe.

Ordered poached eggs on toast, might have well of ordered boiled egg on toast. Rock hard eggs on dry toast (at least if it were buttered toast it might of helped) my companion has full English, was ok they said, but only for the bacon. Thick fatty rind , inedible, and again the fried egg was seemingly cooked for a solid 25 mins we waited. Rock hard.

Food looked Great and presented nicely. The staff did a fantastic job, it's not their fault they are understaffed (ie. take orders and cook food, so customers arriving after us wondered where staff was at till). The staff were super friendly and attentive.

Closed without any warning . Came in specially for cooked breakfast but couldn?t be bother to open that day. No warning on website or anything .

I got 5 pieces of bbq chicken wings and every single one of them is black as F and got more bone than meat, like there?s F all meat on them and there menna be chicken wings, sort your S out Morrisons, very disappointed

Waited an hour for burger and chips, didn't get the burger I ordered and manager's walking around with head in the clouds, very poor wouldn't go

Avoid this dump. Uncleared, dirty tables and slow service. Waited 40 minutes for an all day breakfast that was so bad it wouldn?t even be fed to an animal. Disgusting. Worst place in Kendal - believe all the bad reviews!!!

GOOD NEWS Drinks Machine working now , but nothing else is, went for breakfast ! told its a limited menu, bacon bun sausage bun egg bun and that was about, though the full menu was located by the till , sausage and bacon bun arrived, £3.00 for sausage ( overcooked near burnt) plus £1.00 per rash of bacon ( smallest rasher seen and over cooked ) has this place sunk past the point of rescue or is it a plan to drive it into the ground just to close it down ? second option seems to be winning

Not sure what's happened.No staff available to take orders, so I used the machine. Despite the cafe being dead, it took over 50 minutes for a fish and chips, and a burger. At this point we gave up and asked for a refund. We were not the only ones.A really depressing experience

This is the worst café in Kendal. Service non existant due to the lack of staff. Miserable and depressing atmosphere, also very tense due to so many customers unhappy.Had to ask to be refunded, after we had to wait nearly 1 hour for 2 jackets potatoes! What possesed the head office to transform this place which used to be a convenient stop after your shopping into a miserable place to ovoid at all cost. However, l will give some credit to the manageress on duty for handling the situation with great diplomacy despite her embarrassments about the issue.
