I came to the Dales on holiday and found I needed a new pair of walking boots.
My salomon trainers weren't supporting my (often painful) feet like they needed (I'm seeing an osteopath to sort that), so I popped in hoping that this shop could help (I'd read reviews and decided this was my first port-of-call).
I was greeted warmly (even at the end of the working day), and asked what I was looking for. I gave my 'needs' and concerns, and straight away I was given a first pair to try. Grisport (a new brand to me), and my feet felt held yet spacious. I was encouraged to walk around in them a lot, and they felt heavenly, even after an 8 mile walk earlier.
That was it, decision made. Was I sure I didn't want to try others? No, the gentlemen recommended them, they fitted and I was happy, and with the price too!!
I've since done a couple of other treks, and the boots feel great; my feet feel protected, dry and happy! No rubbing!!

Called at Kendal Sports this afternoon to purchase a jacket.
What a fantastic shop. Extensive choice of top quality outdoor clothing and footwear.
Very friendly, knowledgeable owner who couldn't have been more helpful.
Can't recommend this shop enough, 5 star service.
This was our first visit but won't be our last.
