I visited Kendal leisure centre on Saturday 26th July. I wish I had taken his name because I was blown away with how helpful the chap on reception was. As is always the case the parking metres are a pain but said ?receptionist? was fab and really helped us out. Thank you so much.

Visited for the first time to watch Jools Holland. The show was amazing and no complaints there but the venue however is a different story and this is the basis for my review.
The bar was quite well organised but predictably expensive. Not enough seats so we ended up stood at the top of the stairs.
There was surprisingly no call for people to go into the hall so people just drifted in which caused a major problem. There were so many examples of rude people it was quite amazing. They were still coming in fifteen minutes after the show had started and talking while using their phones. A major distraction and annoyance and simply bad manners. The venue organisers need to improve the way they get the audience in and stop late arrrivals like they do at other venues. Very badly organised.
To make matters worse during the show there was an almost constant stream of people getting up and going to the toilets/ bar/ back of the venue for photos that I had to get up and move 12 times during the show. Based on a response to Jools during the show it looked like most people were from Kendal - hang your heads in shame.
It was a very hot day and the minute you entered the hall you could tell that absolutely no attempt had been made at cooling the place. It was very uncomfortable and one lady on our row had to get out because of it. Think of your audience again, venue organisers.
Overall, it was not a pleasant experience at all and the people of Kendal certainly need to improve their manners. We will look for another venue next time.

Had problems with the app I went in and they said I didn?t pay which was wrong and staff at the front desk were not helpful at all and kept saying the same thing

Not at all child friendly. Pool and changing rooms are freezing. Changing cubicles do not have baby changing facilities and most are small and dark. Majority of lockers do not have keys. We booked onto the ?swimming for all? session to find out the baby pool was not open and we were told we should have booked the ?under 5? swim session if we wanted to use the baby pool. Toilets were dirty and had strong smell of urine. All in all, understaffed and poorly managed.
