I always enjoy a browse around H&B and find the staff team very friendly. I love the new fresh food range and am enjoying the Minty Greens Bites for my lunch today.

Staff are acting like hawks over the pesky loyalty card scheme; they KNOW i'm not interested in it or carry the card (regret signing up) especially considering I typically only buy one item. Haven't experienced this persistence at other branches, yet they now blunty ask "what is your post code" every single time despite constantly turning it down. Started with just the one staff member but now her colleagues are playing copy-cat and even try to double down on it (one miserable old woman was especially bitter) Unless they get self service tills consider yourselves permanently down on one customer.P.s. they also have a tenancy to lurk/breath down your neck if you dare to browse the store. Guilty till proven innocent it seems?

Called in to this branch on Sunday 5/12/21.My girlfriend was hoping to purchase an item to help ease her dry throat. When we approached a member of staff, she didn't even give us the courtesy to turn round and help us. She just said, I don't know and walked away. Unbelievable.

I RECENTLY MADE A NUMBER OF VISITS AND SUBSEQUENT PURCHASES FROM THE KENDAL SHOP ,WHERE I EXPERIENCED THE MOST MISERABLE STAFF MEMBER ON THE TILL ,MY EXPERIENCE OF THIS INDERVIDUAL WAS THE SAME SURLY, MISERABLE, UNWELCOMING RETAIL WORKER I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERD .I AM UNSURE WETHER IT IS HER LACK OF GRASP OF ENGLISH OR JUST HER GENERAL MANNER ,A FRIEND ALSO ENCOUNTERD THIS POOR LEVEL OF SERVICE VERY DISSAPOINTED

I use this store fairly regularly, it's kind of hit and miss for service. Some of the staff have been really pleasant and gone out of their way to be helpful, looking up information about products, they are exactly what sales staff should be, to counter this, other times staff are short, bordering on rude who acts like they want you out of the shop.
