“Excellent example of what a supermarket should be - quality produce, good staff, fair prices.Interestingly, this is one of their branches that are removing self-service tills, as the company has cottoned on to the fact that most of their customers prefer to be served by a human.”

“Absolutely fantastic convenience store with the most amazing bakery at the back! If you ever need a fresh sandwich, pastry, pie, cake, cookie, tray bake etc., I recommend giving this place a try ?

The staff are also lovely ?

Please note, if Google says this place is permanently closed, that's a load of rubbish... I popped in today and spoke to the staff when Google said it was permenantly closed and it seems like someone has a grudge against them, or is trying to reduce competition, as it keeps happening ?”

“We go to aldi in kendal each week for our shopping. We find it to have everything we want and most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The only thing just recently is the dates on most things are very bad. Only 1 or 2 days left on items. Find myself having to check dates on everything. Bit annoying. Otherwise I'm happy with this store.”

“For a small Spar this place has a great selection of fresh fruit and veg, canned products, baked products, snacks, ice cream, beers, cider, lagers, perry, spirits such as vodka and whisky, wine, tobacco, and other things you may expect from a Spar including great value LED torches, and the staff are super friendly. Only downside is due to the age of the building there are some steps inside as well as entering the building. The Bryson's steak slices are particularly good too!”

“Not the largest Home Bargains store but larger than it looks from the outside. Decent choice of their usual household items at decent prices, what you'd expect from HB.”

“Bought a few items. But I was disappointed as I couldn't find any halal items at this store. Unlike Morrisons other stores like TESCO and ASDA have halal items for Muslims.”

“Excellent little Tesco Express just in the right place. It is in a smaller older shop than normal. It is not as clean as my local one, but the service was very quick.”

“Great for a pop in shop or a big shop. Plenty of different tills open, in person and metal mollies. Staff always helpful.
Good cafe. I recomend all day brunch.”

“We have eaten here several times and never had a problem, today we did. My husband had the ultimate fish and chips and I had the steak pie and chips. Both very disappointing the mushy peas were a very strange shade of green and they were cold. Everything apart from the fish ( which was very nice, hot with a nice crispy batter) was cold. I ate the inside of the pie which was warmish but left everything else. Don’t recommend cold chips .And the coffee machine still broken so all in all not a good experience. Very helpful girl bringing the meals . As pensioners it’s a treat for us to eat out. Won’t be going back”
