I always liked Grape Tree, but I bought a 1kg bag of macadamia nuts on offer from Kendal branch in August. The use by date was good for at least for 1 more year. However, when I opened the bag, the nuts had a strong rancid smell. While some of them tasted okay, some of them were completely rancid. With all of the nuts looking the same it was impossible to tell good from bad. I was trying to eat them handful a day, cos it wasn't expired, but it caused me nasty stomach pains that lasted a week. My health compromised, I had to discard them. It put me off this shop, for sure.
