A wonderful stay on our way from Scotland to England and a big surprise. The room was freshly painted, new carpets, clean, great sheets, towels etc and the view was fabulous. It was very quiet and just what we needed for our trip south.

No option of a breakfast when booking so use macdonalds at the services and the beds where too hard for a 4 night stay, appearance was lovely and the lake, stayed out and visited Kendal museum and windermere city but buses where few and far between so stayed in the city, lovely place but not much to do

A perfect spot for weary travellers. We stayed here en route to a Edinburgh from the South coast. It's just off the motorway, so a very handy location. Stunning views across the reservoir and lots of space to excercise car jaded kids or doggies. Rooms comfortable clean and convenient as well as quiet. Free parking The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Really handy McDonalds next door

Booked one night here as a stop over on the way to Scotland. Wasn't cheap at £156, was expecting presentable at least. Room was tired with a warped bedside table top and burn marks in the carpet under dressing table. Both shower and sink taps leaked, just need new washers, and there was a serious leak from room above which has been leaking for some time - see photographs below. Lovely view of the lake from the window but such a disappointment, just glad it was only one night!.

The rooms have not had any maintenance for a long time. The bathroom in particular needed major improvements and a good clean. The bed mattress was low grade and was much inferior to comparable chains. All in all a disappointing experience. My first and last stay at a Days.

Very convenient as a stop en route to Scotland. Comfortable clean rooms, nice bathrooms with hot shower, quiet, free parking. Mc Donalds next door. Beautiful views across the Lake too. Very handy spot.

Building good car parking good quiet in hotel room at night no banging doors and drunk people talking loud will visit again very nice view McDonalds on site and cos of coffee on site and WH Smith shop there as well

First impressions of the hotel were very good, for a services the location is picturesque with a lovely view of the lake. Staff were very friendly on checkin and helpful. However the facilities and room itself were a bit of a let down. There was no lift which meant we had to carry the buggy down the stairs as there were no free rooms on the entry floor. This was a bit tricky but not the end of the world. The room itself was spacious and had a lovely view of the lake. Unfortunately it had a strong smell of damp in the room and being by a lake we didn?t want to open the window and invite in lots of mosquitos to air the room. The furniture was clean but tired, carpet was dirty and had seen better days and the bathroom was very tired and had mould on the grout and ceiling. We slept well as the room being at the back and one floor down was very quiet and the bed comfortable. However considering this room was nearly double the cost of other services hotels we?ve stayed I would say it sadly was not worth the money and we wouldn?t stay again with the rooms in the current state.

Fine for an overnight - as a motorway services hotel there is not much to do but we visited Kendal first and had a meal before checking in. As a comment, Costa Coffee seems to be open for longer than the 7am -7pm the hotel site quotes

A lovely place to stop over. The view from the service area was really picturesque when the sun was shining. Hotel was pleasant and the service was great. The room amenities were good as well. Extra tea and coffee freely given at reception. I will book again on my next trip to Scotland. Thanks everyone at Killington Lake Kendal.\\nPs, If I can't get a room next time I will know too many people have read my review.

We stayed for one night and overall cleanliness of room is awful. Dust on TV and cabinets, hairs in bath, floor not hoovered. Also disturbed sleep with people walking about early hours. Rooms need some TLC.

Single storey hotel and adjacent to fast food options. Staff very welcoming and friendly. We had a room overlooking the lake which was lovely. Beds comfortable and room adequate but very dated and tired with very old bathroom. Room was not particularly clean and there was coffee or tea drips on the woodwork beside the bed. Couldn?t get tv remote to work, maybe needed new batteries.

Fully recommend this spot. It's an excellent stopping point on route to Scotland with a gorgeous view at the rear. Despite being at the side of the M6 it is extremely quiet and the staff friendly and helpful.

Unclean Room, Pet's Hairs all over the Sofa bed. Foul smell in the room. Lot of Insects. Only good thing is that Property location is good. Apart from that I would say completely avoid it. Not even the value of money.

An overnight stay whilst in the area for work - the cheapest hotel I could find in the Kendal area, and was literally only using it for sleep and getting ready the next morning. Yes the room was a bit shabby, but for how long I was there and for what I paid it really didn't matter. Facilities were clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.
