Both of my front wheel bearings needed replacing. My usual garage could only book me in 3 weeks later. So I called Castle and they fitted them the next day. There was a problem with a connecting wire after a few days, and within one hour of calling Castle about it, I was driving home with it fixed. Very impressive, nice job Castle.

On my journey to the Lake District, I was having problems with the clutch. Concerned about driving back home, Mike agreed to look at it for me. Mike discovered that a major job was required to replace the clutch kit and slave cylinder, also a new starter motor lead was needed which Mike had made up as he couldn?t get the part in time. Mike pulled out all the stops to help me out in the short space of time that I was staying in the Lake District, very friendly, professional and would definitely recommend. Thank you Mike.

Helped me out massively! Car was noisy but no warning lights. Fixed the same day. Very welcoming! Totally recommend. Hopefully won't need to go back for a while but I know where they are now!

Good reliable service . I have been using Castle Street Garages services for a number of years , first under Roger's management , now under Mike's . Because of self isolation , Mike collected and returned my car after its annual service , MoT and some minor work . Thank you for your effort , Mike .

A very helpful man. My trailer wheel bearing disintegrated, I was stuck, and had an appointment to get to, very kindly got me back on road. Very grateful, a nice bloke. ???once again mechanic pulled out all stops. Got my van on road next day,very reasonable charge. This will now be my regular garage, ??

I have just had work done on my car here. They were happy to check my car over the next day and called me to explain what needed to be done and provided me with an estimate everything, to which i understood to be a full estimate including VAT, as not stated otherwise. Upon collection of the car i was shocked to find i was being charged an extra £80 on top of estimate because they had not included VAT with prior estimation. I recieved a very unenthusiastic apology and was told nothing could be done, it was just a breakdown in communication. Very unsympathetic to the situation and no attempt made to resovle the issue. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS GARAGE!!! I have reported them to trading standards as a legal contract was entered when the estimate was given to me over the phone!

We were touring in our Campervan and had clutch failure outside Kendal. Ringing around for help brought up various results. Roger assured me he would be able to begin our job as soon as he could get parts. He and Mike are a Great Team. Despite the parts Companies sending wrong parts three times, we were on the road again very quickly and at a reasonable price. Both Mike and Roger were helpful ,knowledgeable and very able.
