Not for 68 year olds, cardiac arrest territory. My dad did struggle with making it round this course but that aside it had some stunning views and challenging holes. Greens were very good quality as was the rest of the course, would recommend as a lovely spot to have a game while on holiday

This place is absolutely awesome. Pay to an older lady in the house (15 GBP), then walk a bit up the road to the car park and off you go. The place is in the best condition and the view is simply amazing. Any golfer visiting the Lake District should make a stop here.

Absolutly brillant! Nice hilly 9 Holes, fairways are everything but flat, the only even lie is on the tee boxes. Dogs on leash are ok, 10 Pounds for an adult and priceless views on the landscape!Pay at the farm, it?s another 1 mile or so to the parking lot

Don?t let the humble clubhouse/starter hut put you off. The quality and challenge of this nine hole is only matched by the gorgeous views. The owner cum Green keeper is a lovely man who is doing an amazing job. Can?t believe it?s only £10 for 18 holes. Brilliant and interesting course. Oh it?s holly but don?t worry about that ?

What a gem of a course. Well worth making sure you get to play it. Very hilly but loads of fun. Great condition. Works on a Honour system but pay a little extra to show your appreciation

This is an absolute hidden gem. You pay to play at the owner?s farmhouse and then drive up to the course.My wife and I played it after reading the reviews and we found it to be a real challenge and great fun. The course plays uphill over superbly tended grassland for the first 5 holes and really good greens and then back down for the last 4. You can go round again for 18 if you want.Great fun.

Really great little course. Very challenging on first visit, because while it is not a particularly long course, it is very undulating, with blind tee and approach shots to many holes, it also has plenty of trees, ponds, and O.O.B just off the fairways. It is in wonderful condition, and the greens are fantastic. It also has some of the best views that I have ever seen on a golf course. It was reasonably busy, but we never felt that we had to rush, not did we catch any golfers ahead. A great two hours for £10 each.

First time for myself and my husband at this course, absolutely loved it, the greens are superb, the views sre stunning. Highly recommend it, a credit to the owners, definitely be back.

Lovely course that far exceeded my expectations of my 10 handicap at South Shields GC. Whilst only 9 holes, they are played twice with a variety of tees and an extra green. Any one that is a member of a club, or regularly plays 18 holes club courses will not be disappointed. £10 is too cheap for this course (Mrs Jackson explained why so little) so I encourage everyone to pay extra to reflect the true value of the course, and repay the Jacksons for their hard work and generosity. Great course for practicing (very very hilly), beautiful weather when I played yesterday and the course owners we?re nice and pleasant, can even bring your dog!Don?t think I?ll even play 18 holes with those views for a tenner in my lifetime again

Visited this course today having searched for local golf courses on Google Maps whilst on holiday in the area. Really enjoyable 18 holes & only cost a tenner too. It?s a 9 hole course with a couple of extra tee boxes for the back 9. The greens are really good, but very tricky, with some extremely slippery putts! Although the yardage on the card looks short, when you add in the factors of lots of big hills & strong wind, it?s certainly a challenge for golfers of all abilities. I?ll definitely be going back to play again!

Had no idea what to expect. Rocked up at a house to pay a lady the green fee (£10 pp - very reasonable) and she mentioned the course was a half mile up the road. Pretty much had the course to ourselves - really nicely kept and has stunning views. Greens are difficult and some of the tee shots are exciting. Really glad we came.
