Stopped off here for a drink the other day, and saw them bringing out fish & chips for the guys on the table in front of me, and it looked so good I just had to order some for myself, and it tasted as good as it looked. All the guys that work here are friendly and on the ball with everything. Would definitely recommend this place.

Excellent Sunday lunch. I had lamb ar las had the sirloin. Nice portion. Fair price. Staff were sound. Will definitely have another trip when in Keswick.

Flies flying about everywhere, can only imagine what its like in the kitchen.

We stopped here today ( Storm Floris day). We both had Steak pie with chips, carrots, stem broccoli, mangetout and plenty of gravy. It was the best steak pie I've had for a long time, packed with meat and was very filling. Service was very good and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Also had coffees that came with a handmade shortbread. Thank you.?

Been here before a couple of years ago, the food was great then and still good now.
I had the lamb hot pot dish which was really great and tasty. Loads of meat in it.
Nephew had the pie and other had the burger. Both really tasty and well presented.
My partners was slightly disappointing, it was fish pie but didn't have any sauce in the bottom so the fish was dry.
Apart from that all good.
I'd say the puddings are a little on the expensive side, we shared one in the end between two and had the sticky toffee which was tasty.
The staff looked after us too.

Perfectly located pub at the start/finish of a Blencathra hike. We sat outside and had the mega roast on a Sunday afternoon after a long day out. So satisfying and delicious!
